PS+ Content For July (And August?)

Sony have announced the content that will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers in July. It's a great mix of some top games, things that are definitely going to help you prepare for a few big upcoming titles. Although you'll need to enjoy shooters to really get the most out of this month, the inclusion of Battlefield 3, Payday: The Heist and Saints Row the Third is sure to be enough to justify this month's pay. That's an awful lot for an awful little.

PS Vita Getting Fieldrunners 2 this summer

The sequel to the wildly successful tower defence game, Fieldrunners, is now confirmed to be in the “final stages of development” as stated by a post on the PlayStation blog. This new addition to the series includes over 25 ingeniously designed towers… and I hear that guns can transform enemies into cows now… Well, that should satiate any beef cravings one might have. The game’s engine has also been completely redesigned to allow for a completely new feature; precision attacks. This allows every single enemy to carve a unique path throughout the ...

Rayman Legends Coming to Vita

At first it was a Wii U exclusive, a game that was supposed to shift consoles, but then Rayman Legends was delayed for the best part of a year so that it could become a multi-platform game. Although the Wii U version of the game had gone gold (and copies of it are sitting around in warehouses), they won't be available for purchase until the end of year. Legends is now also coming to PlayStation Vita, Ubisoft have announced, and you'll be glad to know there won't be another 9 month delay in adding another platform.

As usual the Playstation Plus content for June adds 5 free games to the Instant Game Collection. 3 for PS3 and 2 for PS Vita. Complaints about the lack of RPG games in the IGC seems to have gotten through to the people that matter and this month 2 RPGs are given for free to subscribers of the excellent service. Even though this is the June update much of the additions will get added on May 29th.

Y.R.P In Position for new Final Fantasy X-2 HD Shots

Although Final Fantasy X-2 doesn't quite manage to live up to the original in terms of fan nostalgia, I can't imagine anyone felt the Final Fantasy X re-release was complete without having its sequel available as well. For many who experienced the story of Tidus, Yuna, Auron and company for the first time in the last few years, getting hold of a copy of X-2 might not have been easy (or, arguably, even worth it).

PSA: Guilty Gear Trailer Lied, Title DOESN’T Have Online Play

This is a strange one. Guilty Gear for the Vita came out in the US yesterday, and despite mention on its PlayStation page of online play, as well as reference to it in the original trailer, the game actually relies on Ad Hoc mode to handle its multiplayer. Why the developers put out a trailer implying otherwise, and why Sony are advertising it as online-capable is unclear, but if you were planning to buy based on the idea of playing…
