Borderlands has a pretty rich world, completed by recognisable and memorable characters. The only downside is all that distracting shooting. That's why it's pretty amazing (and just a little surprising) that Telltale are working on a new set of episodic content based in the world of Borderlands.

Despite it being set in the past, Raiden will be making an appearance in the Xbox One version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes next year. The exclusive mission also brings back an enemy familiar to anybody who played Hideo Kojima's cult classic Snatcher. It's an interesting combination, and one that fans are sure to enjoy.

From the press start screen, the first time you load Contrast, you'll instantly be taken to a place, a time, an atmosphere. Square Enix have today announced that they've released Final Fantasy VIII to PC. It's available to buy from Steam and other online retailers for £9.99, $11.99 and €12.99. While the release contains the usual PC stuff - achievements, cloud saves - this release is also noteworthy for another reason, a reason that may just get long-time fans to double dip: it contains the previously Japan-only Chocobo World mini-game.

Velocity Ultra is probably one of the better Vita games, and it received the attention and praise that it so deserved. It came to PlayStation 3 not too long ago, and, its next milestone, a PC release is just around the corner. Curve Studios, who are working on the port, have announced that Velocity Ultra will be coming to Steam on December 12th.

When you're talking gaming classics, there are few titles that actually manage to live up to that word. The medium just hasn't been around long enough, nor did it have the early popularity, to create the level of icon that early-ish film did. If anybody, Sonic the Hedgehog deserves to be one of those gaming icons, and his first adventure is coming to the 3DS eShop in the UK this week.

Earlier this week, Sony confirmed that they'd sold over two million PlayStation 4 units worldwide. Microsoft have yet to officially confirm their sales numbers (and I suppose there's no reason that they have to), but they have said that they're sold out in retailers around the world. But who cares about any of that? How are Microsoft doing when measured in ZOMBIES!

There are people claiming that the PlayStation 4 launch was weak. Those people haven't played Resogun. With its fast pace, easy-to-pick-up gameplay, beautiful graphics and fantastic soundtrack, it's the surprise hit of the early part of this generation. While it might not alone convince anybody that it's worth investing in a brand new console, it'll definitely keep you busy for the time being.

Sony have this morning announced that their PlayStation 4 console, launched this past weekend in Europe, has sold 2.1 million units worldwide. That's a record breaker, folks, and it still hasn't released everywhere.
