Nintendo has one more mega hit left in 2014 and they no it. Sure, Hyrule Warriors is huge in Japan,but no one can really believe that it will do similarly as well in the English speaking world. So, why not use Super Smash Bros as a marketing tool. Nintendo has been dropping bombshell after bombshell, and it continued this week with their Super Smashing Sales event happening on the Nintendo eShop for the next few weeks.

Titles that fuse together two unique play styles and characters often suffer in the end from attempting to please both fan bases, inevitably pleasing neither. Fortunately, this is not the case in Level-5 and Capcom's latest release, Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. Although the title is not without its shortcomings, the overall product is a must have for fans of either series.

Nintendo understands that they are in the uphill climb. The first step to recovery: admittance. Thankfully, Nintendo execs are not just sitting on their gold thrones using their millions of dollars to 'get by' until the next Nintendo console launches. They truly believe the Wii U can be turned around, and all their effort as of late has been to market anything and everything coming out for their systems.

Nintendo never ceases to amaze me. After huge DLC new for Mario Kart earlier this week, Nintendo continued their strong end to August with a Japanese Nintendo direct where they announced a new 3DS with a ton of new features.

Nintendo has huge plans for the next four months, both on 3DS and Wii U. Some big games are coming to both systems, so I figured I would let you in on what is coming, what you should pre-order, and perhaps what you might want to hold off buying.

It's finally coming, and I can guarantee you already that it will be awesome and definitely worth the purchase. IGN has reported that Nintendo is releasing two separate DLC packages for November 2014 and May 2015. Both packs will have new characters, karts, and tracks. And, as an added bonus, the characters won't all be from the Mushroom Kingdom.

If you want to be a huge hit in the indie world, your best bet is to move to Sweden. At least it feels like that is where all the good games are coming from right now. This week will be no different, as SteamWorld Dig, already available on multiple platforms including the 3DS, will receive an additional release on Nintendo's Wii U console.All I need to tell you is that it is worth it.

A few weeks ago, Activision announced that the Wii version of Skylanders Trap Team would have a free download code so that the game could also be played on Wii U. Disney has decided to do something similar, although they are focusing on a game already out, rather than their upcoming release.

A few years back, PopCap released their mega hit title Plants vs Zombies. It definitely wasn't the first in its genre, but it was one of the best. People have tried to replicate this formula to varying degrees of success. One company, Circle Entertainment, has done an admirable job with their latest title, Demon King Box for 3DS.

It has been suggested by fans and shareholders for years. It has been rumored from many major media outlets. It has been teased by Nintendo brass themselves in January. And now it is official. It's not Mario, but Nintendo is bringing arguably their second largest franchise to iPad in 2014, and I for one could not be more excited.
