I've never been one to excitedly wait for a horror/thriller title on console, but Evil Within 2 might make me rethink that position. Despite my reservations about horror games in general - very predictable, and often doesn't have the same shock value as a movies - Evil Within 2 gave me enough spine crawling, freight endusing moments, mixed in with some great open world mechanics, to deliver on what is one of the better horror/thriller titles to date on console. Despite my distaste for the genre, I simply couldn't put Evil Within 2 down until I had beaten it!

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor was one of the best games released back in 2014, and received some major accolades from almost every media outlet. Even those who were not crazy about the subject matter and tone of the game, applauded the developers for what they did differently: creating the Nemesis System. At that time, it was hard to imagine Monolith Studios topping what they had done in Shadow of Mordor, but somehow, the seem to have elevated the franchise in almost every single way. For fans of the first title, expect much better things from the sequel!

The Astro Gaming name is synonymous with gaming, and for years everyone has assumed that Astro headsets are outside the reach of the average gamer. In the past, this was definitely true, but Astro is running lines of Headsets at a much lower cost, and the Astro A40 TR Headset - aimed at PC and MAC users, but compatible with newer Xbox One controllers and PS4 - is a great headset that comes in at a modest $150 price tag. Overall, that expensive Astro quality is there, but not the excessive pricing.

In an interview with Gamespot, head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, reconfirmed the companies commitment to launch original xbox games via backwards compatibility on the Xbox One family of systems. With the year quickly coming to a close, and little from Microsoft on the topic of original Xbox backwards compatibility, it was a question that Spencer was eventually going to have to answer.

I loaded up Middle-Earth: Shadow of War for the first time last night thanks to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment PR in Toronto, Canada, and was wowed from the moment I began exploring areas of Middle Earth. There isn't anything quite like getting behind the wheel of a fast car and hitting the track, and although many people don't enjoy simulation racing titles - myself included, for the record - there is still something really appealing about loading up a Forza Motorsport title for the first time. Although my early moments in Forza were not everything I hoped they would be, there is definitely a strong challenge here that I'm more than willing to master! Forza 7 is not a game you want to miss!

Across all the EA Sports titles, I've always been drawn in by one mode, which also happens to be the mode I play almost exclusively. Perhaps it's the sports card collecting that stirs that nostalgic spoon in my body, buy whatever it may be, the Ultimate Team mode, in my opinion, is EA's finest! In FIFA18, FUT builds on previous years, providing more things to do daily, and providing free packs and coins like never before!
