It was practically a foregone conclusion, but the hardest to spell game since Metal Gear Solid Revengeance is coming to the US and EU last this year. Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Curtain Call boasts over 200 of the most popular tracks from Final Fantasy history, making it a completely unique but still endlessly playable music game.

Yoshi has appeared sporadically throughout the Mario universe, playing major roles in numerous games, and providing cameos in others. In 1995, Yoshi was deemed important enough to be given his own game, and little has changed in the spin-offs and sequels since. Yoshi's New Island, available now for the 3DS, is a familiar platform adventure on a new handheld. Although the core of the game is the same, a few new implementations are less than spectacular, making Yoshi's latest adventure feel like a broken version of the older titles.

So how can so little come out of a 11 minute Nintendo Direct? If you find life simulators incredibly dis-interesting, take the 11 minute plunge anyways. The witty banter throughout the Nintendo Direct make the time you spent watching well worth it. The entire 11 minutes is very comical. Want to see a Iwata playing with a cat or trying on a Dinosaur suit? Want to see a number of Nintendo executives attempt to pick up Samus Aran on a beach? Of course you do!

Thursday marks the first releases of the previously promised Gameboy Advance games on the Wii U console.  The first titles are have been revealed, and if releases of this caliber continue, it should be a good move by Nintendo.  During the next store update, you can expect to get your hands on Mario and Luigi: Super Saga, Metroid Fusion, and Advance Wars.  3DS owners will be able to grab Super Monkey Ball 3D and Bubble Pop World. If you have ever played a game with a guy in a green costume, who is generally always sleeping at the beginning of his adventure, then you've probably played a Legend of Zelda game at some point. Nintendo's latest Zelda release for the 3DS has received much attention since being released, including a number of Game of the Year nominations from multiple prominent media outlets. The 2.5D Metroidvania entry in the Batman Arkham city will be coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U in April this year, Warner Brothers have announced. Batman Arkham Origins: Blackgate was a handheld exclusive that took place after Arkham Origins and was set in - can you guess - Blackgate Prison. Nintendo built the 3DS very, very well, and the biggest proof of that is that it's yet to be properly hacked. Last year saw the release of the Gateway, an R4-like device that allowed people with a console below a certain firmware to play downloaded games. It wasn't perfect, but it was piracy, and it looked for a while like this would end up as a perfect solution for those that wanted to play games without paying.
