The Issue with Being an Internet Tough Guy

The Internet has spawned a generation of human beings who feel that since they sit behind a monitor and use usernames that are almost impossible to pronounce, that they have the right to berate the opinions of professional journalists. The issue is not that these individuals disagree with the author, but it is how they choose to voice their disagreement. Disagreeing with an argument in a civil way promotes constructive discussion, a much better option then name calling.

Nintendo Shocked Us at E3

A few members of the GamesReviews staff, along with myself, made a number of E3 predictions for Nintendo. In general, our predictions were pretty safe. But that doesn't mean we cannot ridicule those that were so far off the map; unfortunately for myself, I think I take the brunt of the ridicule. Regardless, here is how things worked out. I put a score on each category to see how well I, as well as the staff, did.

Bioshock Infinite Burial at Sea Episode 2 Review

Bioshock Infinite was fairly unique in that it was entirely self-contained with room for discussion, but with plenty of opportunity for DLC. The idea of multiple universes isn't a new one, and it always opens itself up to certain issues, but it did mean that Booker and Elizabeth could end up appearing almost anywhere. So, of course, they ended up back in the underwater city of Rapture. It was an easy way of impressing fans, but it's questionable whether that managed to pay off.

Sony Announces VR Headset: Project Morpheus

Sony took to the stage at GDC this morning to announce the announcement nobody could see coming: a VR headset. Dubbed Project Morpheus, the device has all the bells and whistles you'd expect, and although price has yet to be announced, you ought to start saving now if the list of features is anything to go by. With that said, it'll only be available on the PlayStation 4, so if you don't have Sony's new-gen machine, you'll need to save even more.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Limited to 30 FPS

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition might contain improved graphics, a new Lara and all the DLC, but there's one area in which it certainly isn't "definitive." Scot Amos of Crystal Dynamics has today confirmed that the new-gen version of last year's Tomb Raider reboot will be limited to 30 frames per second.

Killzone Shadow Fall Review

Killzone is one of Sony's staple franchises, partly because of how fantastic they always look. The gameplay is always hit and miss, you'll either love it or hate it. The heavier weaponry, the harder-to-kill enemies - this isn't Call of Duty or Battlefield, and it never tries to be. Killzone: Shadow Fall is the latest in the series and one of the lead launch games on PlayStation 4. Can it hold the next generation on its shoulders?

Mad Catz R.A.T. M Review

Mad Catz made a splash with their R.A.T. series of highly-customizable gaming mice years ago, and the line has continued with several new models and even a wireless version of this monster peripheral. A new version of the R.A.T. is out; a smaller, wireless subspecies intended for gaming on the go. We spent some time with the R.A.T. M and here are our thoughts.

Resistance Trilogy Review

Taking on the challenge of creating Sony's own first-person shooter blockbuster, Insomniac Games released Resistance: Fall of Man as a launch title for the PlayStation 3 with two sequels following it afterwards. With a unique alternative history setting fused with science fiction and a flair for designing inventive weaponry, Insomniac created a series that offers three unique first person shooter experiences. And while it may not have reached the popularity it deserved, Resistance offers some of the most exclusive experiences of any shooter.
