Ubisoft follows up with hard hitting Watch_Dogs trailer

A new trailer for Ubisoft’s Watch_Dogs was released today, mere 24 hours since the last trailer got slammed by the internet for its poor quality. While yesterday’s trailer was more akin to a PS2 game, the animation of Aisha Tyler jumping back onto the curb for example was reminiscent of pedestrians desperately trying to avoid a head-on collision with Tommy Vercetti’s ride in Vice City, today’s trailer is quick to put negative thoughts of the game to rest.

Quick to respond to the out-lash, Ubisoft wasted no time getting a new, polished and obviously next-gen trailer out to the nay-sayers.

The “Honoured” trailer clocks in at just under the 2 minute mark and relies heavily on highlighting quotes from the gaming media. From first impressions to E3 awards the video leaves no stone unturned in telling gamers exactly why they should be excited for the hack-heavy free-roamer. The eagle-eyed viewers amongst you will no doubt recognise that most of the footage in the trailer is -in fact- old footage from past trailers simply re-edited and repackaged into this trailer. A sure-fire indication that Ubisoft were desperately trying to overshadow yesterday’s trailer as soon as humanly possible. Aisha Tyler Trailer? What Aisha Tyler trailer??

Thankfully this trailer does provide us with enough reassurance that the game will look as good as what we have been led to believe this past year.

In addition, the trailer is bookended with the announcement of pre-order goodies. An impressive 5 different pre-order packages are available for those willing to fork out a little extra for exclusive.. stuff. The entire list of what’s on offer is too vast to list here but check it out for yourself over at the Official Watch_Dogs site.

See below for embedded trailer.
