I loved Lego Marvel Superheroes for the Wii U. The game had tons of Marvel heroes: everyone from Spider-man to the X-men to the Fantastic Four. Of course, the game couldn’t cover ALL of the Marvel heroes. The Guardians of the Galaxy only got a cameo in the game and other characters were missing too. sigh. The Forza Horizon series has been incredibly popular, not only amongst fans and media outlets, but here on GamesReviews as well. We scored both Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Horizon 3 with 9+ scores, praising the games varied events, outstanding driving mechanics, authentic weather and day-night cycles, and more. I didn't think my favorite racing franchise could get any better. Even the Blizzard Mountain DLC for Forza Horizon 3 wasn't enough to make me go "wow." Hot Wheels will do that though, and it did, thanks to the latest DLC release last week.

After getting all his chores complete and his homework finished, the highlight of my sons evening last night was busting open The Goonies level pack for LEGO Dimensions and putting together the wicked looking minibuilds that come included. While my overall knowledge of The Goonies is fairly minimal, you cannot help but appreciate how much detail goes in to One Eyed Willy's Pirate Ship and the Skeleton Organ. The Xbox One and Playstation 4 have been inundated with stealth based titles, with each game trying to do something else that the others aren't, to set themselves apart. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 feels a lot like Sniper Elite 4, although with more of an emphasis on story and current technology. Unfortunately, many of the great tactics in Sniper Elite 4 don't come across in Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, making me think that Ghost Warrior is launching at a really bad time.

Warner Bros. Entertainment in Toronto was nice enough to pass along the latest wave of LEGO Dimensions sets for us to unbox and review. When we were putting together are Christmas 2016 buyers guide, we pointed to LEGO Dimensions as the must own game during the holiday season, with a great lineup of expansion packs already available for purchase, and more popular franchises coming in the coming months. This week, LEGO Dimensions and Warner Bros. are delivering on that with retail releases of The Goonies, Harry Potter, and LEGO City.

With a viewing of the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie fresh in my mind, I kicked backed this weekend with the first episode of Telltale’s latest adventure title…Guardians of the Galaxy, and my first few hours with this new series was top notch.
