DC Universe Online Review

There are a lot of free to play MMORPG's out there, some require you to pay just to do some mindless things and others have dull combat that rely on hot keys and very precise statistics. I was never able to get into these types of games, they focused to much on knowing everything about the game. Luckily Sony Online Entertainment had made a free-to-play MMORPG that had interesting combat and no impossible to understand statistics. This is a game that immerses you into the DC universe and you truly feel like you are playing as a real DC superhero.

The Elder Scrolls Online Review

As soon as I booted up Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) for the first time, I felt myself pulled back in to a mythical medieval world that I have come to adore. The tone, look, and sounds of ESO will fill any player with feelings of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim nostalgia. The Elder Scrolls Online lets the player assume the role of a soul trapped in a realm called Coldharbour that is ruled by deadric prince Molag Bal.

Nether Preview

Nether is a post-apocalyptic open world multiplayer game with an emphasis on survival. The style can be compared to Day Z, but instead of a zombie apocalypse, the world was hit with solar flares that mutated a portion of the population into Nethers. Other players in the world can help or hurt you, however there are safezones throughout the map in which Nethers can’t enter and people can’t hurt you.

Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn

Final Fantasy XIV was surprisingly announced in 2009, was released in 2010 to terrible reviews and was closed in 2012. There aren't many AAA titles that get to be classed as unmitigated disasters, but the latest Final Fantasy MMO fit the bill. Not content with writing it off, Square Enix began repairing things that fans had disliked, and in 2013 released Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn onto PlayStation 3 and PC. 2014 saw the re-release hit PlayStation 4, but does this particular rebirth find its place on Sony's latest?

SMITE Review

For anyone on the outside looking in, the MOBA genre can look like a scary one. There are too many numbers, too much clutter on the screen, too many characters, abilities, items and you have to work as a team! I have a confession: I used to think that too, and as I dipped my toe into the deep blue ocean of MOBAs I was still thinking it. Now, some lost hours later, I have emerged a fan. I say emerged, I can't quite tear myself away.

Neverwinter Review

Neverwinter, a game set in the D&D universe, started as a series of isometric RPG games with a heavy focus on pausable strategic combat. Since then Neverwinter has evolved into a free to play MMO with fast paced action combat, player created content, and a unique currency system.

Path of Exile Review

Path of Exile is a new MMORPG from Grinding Gear Games, currently in open beta. The new action RPG introduces exciting and complex new elements to the genre, and should be a delight to fans of games such as Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2. Path of Exile places players into the dark and gritty world of Wraeclast, which is designed to be the antithesis of modern action RPGs' slant towards bright and cartoony motifs. Although it is certainly not adult-themed, this game is intended for mature players and long-time dungeon-crawler fans. After playing the open beta ...

SWTOR – Rise of the Hutt Cartel Review

Rise of the Hutt Cartel, the new digital expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic, injects new life into the game a few months after its first anniversary. Players have had a love/hate relationship with SWTOR since launch, yet the game retains a loyal fan base while the overall user count steadily increases over time. There are so many things about this latest Star Wars MMO that players love, and yet SWTOR lags behind its competitors in a number of important areas. Rise of the Hutt Cartel delivers more of what makes the game exceptional, and makes attempts ...
