Bioshock 1 Songbird Sound Effect “One of the Mysteries of the Universe”

If you have any interest in Bioshock Infinite and its place in the Bioshock canon, you've probably heard about the Songbird sound effect. If you listen closely enough, you can hear the Songbird's scream in the original Bioshock. Today Ken Levine commented on the theory, but, of course, you'd be silly for expecting a simple yes or no.

Ken Levine talks about “Elizabeth Porn”

It's been a topic of conversation since way before Bioshock Infinite hit shelves. There were clothes that showed off ample bosom, cosplayers who wanted to display every side of Elizabeth and even some people who wanted the protagonist to get together with the female lead - people we hope didn't actually finish the game. Ken Levine, creator of Bioshock, has noticed some of the raunchier stuff, and he has only one message: "please stop."

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon may just be coming to Wii U. Although nothing has been confirmed by Nintendo, the previously 3DS exclusive has been listed on Newegg although none of the information on the page - except for a Wii U box art - really implies this couldn't just be a mistake.

Grand Theft Auto V has sold enough to become the fifth biggest seller in the UK in terms of revenue, only just behind four Call of Duty titles. That's right - in only three weeks its managed to totally outdo its predecessor.

Injustice Coming to PlayStation 4, Vita

Warner Brothers have today announced they'll be releasing Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition for, amongst others, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The compilation - which contains both the base game and all of the DLC released for it - will also be available for purchase of PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Transgender Journalist Wasn’t called “A Thing,” Statement Issued

Earlier this week, Kotaku run a story about how a comedian at the Xbox One presentation at Eurogamer humiliated a transgender journalist. Laura Kate Dale, a transgender woman, claimed to have been called "he," "it," and "a thing," by Fraser Millward as he hosted an Xbox One event last weekend. In an official statement issued by both of them earlier today, this was shown to be untrue. Instead, it's a case of them misunderstanding one another and overreacting.

Sonic Returning to TV in Sonic Boom

If you've been "waaaaaiting" for news of a brand new Sonic the Hedgehog series, that wait will soon be over. SEGA have today announced a brand new Sonic the Hedgehog TV series for Cartoon Network entitled Sonic Boom. The first episode will air in Autumn 2014, and a global roll-out will happen from there.

Valve Trademark Half-Life 3

Valve have trademarked Half-Life 3, a move that will no doubt excite millions of fans of the series. This has so far only happened in Europe and there's no more information about it available, so it's probably far too early to be saying "Half-Life 3 Confirmed" but, at least of the surface of it, Half-Life 3 seems at least semi-confirmed.

GTA Online Causing Problems in Single Player

Not at all interested in playing Grand Theft Auto Online but instead want to take a drive around the more traditional, single player San Andreas? While most of the offline functions of GTA V will work as they should, anything at all influenced by Rockstar's servers is either down or not working at full capacity, and, as anybody who enjoys everything the game has to offer will tell you, there are more online functions than you might expect.
