Indie Dev Announces Record Profits During Steam Weeklong Sale

inFlux_690x400

An indie developer has spoken out on how beneficial having his game in the Steam Weeklong sale has been. Many developers have been quick in the past to post their surprise at just how much they can make by temporarily reducing the price of their game, but few have gotten excited about the Weeklong sale (which are being torn apart on sites like HotUkDeals).

Joe Wintergreen-Arthur, the director behind InFlux, posted to Twitter today about the success of having the game in the Steam Weeklong sale.

InFlux, which is £2.79 as of publication, is a puzzle platformer in the same vein as PS1 classic Kula World. You play as a little sphere and you must navigate various structures. With beautiful locations and a generally nice atmosphere, it’s also one of the few games on Steam that boasts a “majestic and enigmatic humpback whale.”

Other games in the Weeklong sale include FuturLab’s Velocity Ultra, so only look at this particular set of deals if you have an awful lot of time on your hands. InFlux was developed by Impromptu Games.
