Word Logic by POWGI Release Date and Trailer

During E3, I played a demo of Lightwood Game’s next word game: Word Logic by POWGI. I liked the demo a lot. It was a hard game, but it was also a very good one. Lightwood Games has now confirmed a release date for Word Logic and posted a new trailer. We have both for you below. Word Logic by POWGI will be coming to the Wii U and 3DS on August 18th. I previewed the game during E3 and…

PDP Launches new amiibo Stands

There are people in this world how are outstandingly creative, and when it comes to creating home made shelving units to hold their plethora of amiibo, they create something that wows the internet. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those people, so until this past week, most of my amiibo have been buried in a storage container beside my television. Sure, my favorite Yoshi amiibo was proudly displayed on the PDP Warp Pipe amiibo stand, but that was about it. This August, PDP launched more amiibo stands at great prices, and were kind enough to send me a few. Look past the video for a breakdown of each item!

PDP Launches New 3DS Accessories

From our work with PDP over the last few years, we know that people have mixed feelings about the company as a whole. Generally, the feedback we get - whether on headsets or controllers - is positive, with a few negative Nancy's giving their two cents worth. I respect everyone right to an opinion. Whenever we've looked at PDP accessories in the past, however, it has been overwhelming love for the company, and for good reason. This week we got a huge box from the Jake over at PDP filled to the brim with some of the companies newest gear. Watch the video below and then read our thoughts on each item!

Nintendo Power Online Archive

Last week on More Thoughts From Me, I told you about Nintendo Power. Some of you may have had no clue what I was talking about, while others were probably smiling and taking a trip down memory lane. For both of those groups, there is now something very cool on the internet. A site called archive.org has 13 years of Nintendo Power magazine online right now! When I wrote about Nintendo Power last week, I had no idea about archive.org’s…

July 1 Up Box – Squad Review

1-Up Box is quickly becoming one of my favorite subscription boxes, and this month they completely hit it out of the park. With a great theme - Squad - the team over there put together a fantastic collection of items, making this the best 1-Up Box I have received so far. Unfortunately, the video we shot corrupted on the card, so this month we only have our written review!

Cost Prohibitive to Play Old Pokemon Games

Like many Pokemon fans, I have been reliving the originals – Red, Blue, and Yellow – on my 3DS XL and I have been loving them. Since I’m almost done Yellow, however, my fun with Pokemon is about to be cut before the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon release later this year. Nintendo needs, and should, release more remakes, because the cost of acquiring these games themselves is very high. I recently perused eBay for used copies of various…

Loot Crate July 2016 Review – Futuristic

Futuristic sounds like it should be awesome, so by naming it that, Loot Crate began hyping up July's Loot Crate. So many great franchises come to mind when you think of futuristic, and over the month until my box arrived, I wondered which of the many they would include. Although I was off on many of my predictions, I was still right with a lot of them. Check out our full review with photos below the unboxing video, and see if Loot Crate is something you should continue to subscribe too!

More Thoughts From Me #27: I Still Miss Nintendo Power

Before the internet, we had these things called magazines. They were like books, but a lot slimmer and they contained articles not novels. Yes, you could have your own portable website to hold in your hands. Of course now, people just go on the internet and magazines, well, they are still out there but I’d guess that most people only read them in a doctor’s waiting room. I still think about magazines a lot though. And I still have many…
