Pokémon Crystal coming to Nintendo 3DS January 26
Having Pokémon games on the eShop has been great, and allowed me to go back and revisit some of my favorite titles in the series. Like the Mario Bros games, Pokémon titles seem to be the games you tend to buy over and over again if you are a huge fan; with the launch of Pokémon Crystal on the Nintendo eShop this January, I'll be able to add an other Pokémon classic to my collection of Pokémon games. The Pokémon Company has sold over 300 Million Games to Date
Since 1996, the Pokémon Company has been releasing video games on every Nintendo system, and today the company announced it has surpassed 300 million sales across all those platforms and games. Since 1996, The Pokémon Company has released 76 titles total. While they have released a ton of games, to reach 300 million global lifetime sales is a huge feat, and the company should be complimented for such a long, successful franchise. Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon Review
The typical Pokémon generation of video games has been highlighted by two initial releases, followed by one ‘complete’ release. You had Pokémon Red and Blue, and then Pokémon Yellow. You had Gold and Siler, and then Crystal. You had Diamond and Pearl, and then Platinum, and so on. Until the release of Black and White, followed up by Black 2 and White 2, Game Freak has stuck to this generational system. Not until now has Game Freak again released sequels to their most popular title, rather than a ‘complete’ edition. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon are not ‘complete’ editions of the original titles, but rather a game set in somewhat alternate story line. Let’s dive and see the differences.

Nintendo in Canada Going Strong
Nintendo's numbers world wide in 2017 have been phenomenal, thanks to continually strong sales from the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, but also because of the huge success of Nintendo's latest console, the Switch. It should be no surprise that the Nintendo Switch is doing well in the market right now, at least not if you look at what has been released to date. Big, AAA titles are hitting the system at a pace of once per month, and third party support seems to be present for the time being. Here are a few highlights from the numbers, as they impact Canada, generally considered a great example of what world wide numbers might look like.
