Let me start by saying, having the opportunity to experience the XBOX briefing was amazing. Not only did they announce the acquisition of five studios, they also showed 50 games, 15 of which were “console exclusive”. Of course, console exclusive doesn’t make a game belong to Xbox, some may be on PC as well (e.g. PUBG), others may only be exclusive to XBOX for a limited time.

On September 14th, 2018, fans of Lara Croft and the Tomb Raiders series will be able to sink their teeth into an all new experience titled Shadow of the Tomb Raider, available now for preorder! While Microsoft was announcing a ton of new titles coming to Xbox One - and a number of which are console launch exclusives! - there was a bigger announcement at the event: the acquisition of 5 new studios. Lets look at each of these studios briefly!

The EA conference at E3 2018 was fairly underwhelming, and wasn't the way I hoped E3 would kick off. We got to see a few things - obviously the upcoming EA Sports titles, a first good look at Anthem, and the biggest surprise, the fact that not only was Unravel 2 in production, but that it was also releasing that day (June 9). While the Unravel announcement was exciting, and Anthem looked good, most of what was shown off was predictable yearly releases, and a few indie titles.

If you haven't had the chance to play Hitman on the Xbox One or the PS4, we strongly recommend you do so, and quickly so that when Hitman 2 launches you'll be up to speed and ready to go!

The original Dark Souls is still one of the best games in the franchise, and it was no shock that Bandai Namco planned to remaster the title for the Xbox One and PS4, and later for the Nintendo Switch. The key word in this whole process is remastered, which means this isn't simply just a rerelease, or is it a definitive version with loads of DLC. Instead, this game has been rebuilt (in part) from the ground up to appeal to modern console owners. Does it hit the mark so many years later? We think so.
