PlayStation made an announcement today regarding the upcoming launch of the PS5. According to a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, there will be no PS5s available at physical retailers on launch day. Interested gamers will instead have to purchase a console online for delivery or in-store pickup.

Yesterday, Sony revealed the Playstation 5 User Interface, also known as the PS5 main menu. And it looked pretty great! Here are my thoughts on the upcoming PS5 UI. With the initial wave of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S preorders done and out of the way, fans are wondering what is next...well at least fans who were not able to snag their preorders yesterday. While things in Europe seemed to work fairly well - outside of a few hiccups with some retailers - things in North America were terrible. Sites crashing, carts not loading, and some sites (Amazon) not even listing their preorder consoles until well after the 11:00 AM time that Xbox greenlight the process.

During the rush yesterday, EB Games Australia was active on Twitter, letting consumers know when the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S were sold out. And, like in Europe today, it didn't take long for that to happen. EB Games Australia did promise a second wave of preorders would be available today, with delivery still in 2020.

During today’s Playstation 5 video event, the price and release date for the system was confirmed! We have the info below, plus check out the awesome PS5 event video. The Playstation 5 will be out on November 12th, 2020 and cost $499.99 CAD (399.99 USD) for the digital console and $629.99 CAD (499.99 USD) for the physical media one. $399 is a bit higher than the Xbox’s $299 for its new digital system. It's official! Today, Microsoft unveiled the official Xbox Series X tech specs, as well as a few articles to decipher the specs and technical capabilities of the next-gen console. Until now there was plenty of speculation and a few hints and teases about the relative power of the Series X and what it will be able to do.
