More Mario Incoming after Nintendo Direct

When Nintendo isn't developing some kind of Mario title for their flagship consoles, you know there is a problem. Thankfully, no problem currently exists as a slew of Mario related titles either received major updates, given release dates, or were formally announced during the Nintendo Direct. From new content in Mario Tennis Aces, to a release date for Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story, to a formal announcement for New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, there was ...

Post Launch Plans for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

If you've been following the website for a number of years now, you'll know that I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan, and have been since the games original release. The last game in the franchise - Assassin's Creed Origins - topped Black Flag as my favourite Assassin's Creed title to date. With Odyssey on the horizon, Black Flag might tumble to #3 on my list! We already know how big the original game is going to be, but what about the post launch DLC plans? Today, ...

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Review

Back in 2013, Square Enix, in partnership with Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal began to recreate the Tomb Raider franchise with a trilogy of games that would launch over the next 5 years. It began with Tomb Raider in 2013, Rise of the Tomb Raider in 2015, and finally this week, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft’s pinnicle moments and where the trilogy meets a timely and hopefully satisfactory end. The advancements from the 2013 to the 2015 ...

Dragon Quest 11 – Review Chapter 1 – Beautiful Visuals

Thanks to our good friends at Square Enix, we received a review code for Dragon Quest 11 on the PlayStation 4. According to the PR firm for Square Enix, the adventure should take us roughly 70-100 hours to complete - depending on the side quests we engage in - and as the review window for this game has passed, we are looking to take a different approach to reviewing this title. Every few days for the next week or so, we will look at a different aspect of Dragon ...

Little Mermaid Event a Smashing Success So Far – Disney Magic Kingdoms

When it was announced that The Little Mermaid was coming to Disney Magic Kingdoms, I was more excited than most. As one of my favourite Disney movies - because frankly, the music is fantastic - I couldn't wait to start unlocking characters and adding new attractions and decorations to my park. And within the first week, the development team didn't disappoint with a bunch of characters, a few locations, and some decorations! So far, it's been a great success!

PES 2019 Review

Although I now risk sounding like a broken record, with another year of PES soccer upon us, wr have yet another year to talk about how the soccer mechanics outshine the competition, but how through game still lacks the modes and licences of "the other guy." It's become a cycle to be sure, as felt PES 17 and PES 18 both outshined FIFA on the field, while struggling off it. While I hoped 19 might be the breakout year for PES, I was unfortunately wrong, but I'm ...

Sound BlasterX G6 Onboard Buttons

The great things about the Sound BlasterX G6 from Creative - outside of the amazing plug and play capabilities - is the host of onboard buttons and switches that allows you to quickly alter your sound output with a few quick presses. When not hooked up to your PC - so when using it with the PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch - the ability to easily alter the settings with an associated program is not an option
