Ruffles and 2k Team Up for 4 Point Line in NBA 2K19

Ever wanted to sink a shot from so far downtown, you might not even be on the basketball court anymore? Think of those viral videos of Lebron James lobbing full court shots in practice, throw in some opposition players, and a close score of 97-94, and you've got the makings of an exciting finish. Although full court shots won't be a prerequisite for scoring a 4 point shot, it does paint a nice picture, doesn't it?

Forza Horizon 4 Review

Forza Horizon 4 is much more of the same, and while there aren't any great leaps or improvements over Forza Horizon 3, a brand new setting, with new cars and new objectives keeps the game fresh enough for long time fans, while retaining that Horizon, open world driving charm. Can the open world racing game that hasn't changed much across four releases really keep players coming back? Let's take a look.

Dragon Quest 11 – Review Chapter 3 – Typical Battle Sequences

Many turn based role playing games have drawn from the experience and development of the Dragon Quest series, and true to the original release, Square Enix has actually done very little to overhaul the battle system they have implemented. Sure, there are a few new ways to deal damage, and a new movement option in Dragon Quest 11, but it's mostly stuck to the core mechanics that have made the franchise so successful for so long. And that's not a bad thing.

Scribblenauts Mega Pack Review

When our own Daniel Fugate reviewed Scribblenauts Showdown, he felt the game had a lot of promise on Nintendo Switch, but lacked some of those key, classic Scribblenauts mechanics. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment must have heard that from other reviewers, as the company came back with another Scribblenauts offering on Nintendo Switch, Scribblenauts Mega Pack, which includes previously released titles Scribblenauts Ultimate and Scribblenauts Unmasked, ...

Valkyria Chronicles 4 Review

As a novice to the Valkyria Chronicles franchise, I wasn't sure what to expect when booting up my first experience. From friends in the industry, the original Valkyria Chronicles was very good, followed up by some lackluster - and even downright terrible - releases and rereleases, across almost all platforms. When my colleague Daniel Fugate reviewed the demo on Nintendo Switch, my interest was peaked, and I decided to take the plunge, thanks to our good friends ...

NHL 19 Review

Despite being a Canadian, and despite loving the sport of hockey, I took a break from the annual NHL EA Sports release for the 2018 iteration, and during a year heavy with impressive titles from developers across the industry, it didn't actually miss it that much. When EA Sports came to Toronto a few weeks ago, and a few of my colleagues were able to attend, they couldn't stop raving about the improvements to NHL 19, so we reached out and thanks to EA Sports, ...

Dragon Quest 11 – Review Chapter 2 – All Those Voices

When games are developed and released in Japan, western audiences sometimes feel left out. This was definitely the case for Dragon Quest 11, which was released in July of 2017 in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS and the PlayStation 4. Over a year later, and the game has finally landed on western shores, with many fans asking, "What took so long." When playing through the first 10 or so hours of Dragon Quest 11, I realized one major thing: there is a lot of text in ...
