Cars: Driven to Win Launching 06/13

My excitement for Pixar games is pretty none-existent, but my seven year old son goes bananas for these types of games. Just recently, I was showing him the teaser trailer for Cars: Driven to Win and decided to capture a few of his observations in a short article as we move towards launch day next Tuesday, June 13th.

More Thoughts From Me #60: Link’s Wild Wii U Adventure

I can’t stop playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I’ve put a lot of hours into the game so far and I’m having a ton of fun. Here’s the twist though: I’m playing Breath of the Wild on the Wii U. I can’t afford a Switch yet. I wasn’t about to wait to play the new Zelda until I got that system. So I bought the game for the Wii U. How is the game so far? Here…

Nintendo Switch Console Review

March 3rd is just around the corner, and hundreds of thousands of Nintendo fans will gleefully tear into their new Nintendo Switch units and play whatever games they decide to get at launch. Console launches are somewhat frequent if you average them out - with so many major and minor companies creating new systems - but they are still always special. Nintendo launches stand out to me because they are always doing something a bit different, making their releases unique. We've had the Switch for just over a week now, and overall, we are incredibly impressed!

Hype as Switch Launch Nears; Should There Be?

The Nintendo Switch launch day is either going to be extremely exciting or extremely disappointing. To be honest, it's going to be great because I'll be playing Breath of the Wild. But will my day one purchase be just for one game, or will it have the longevity that the Wii U never had. That is my worry as we get closer to the launch of the Switch.

Dear Notch: You’re dead wrong about Wii U

Sure, the Wii U is a struggling system - despite a recent resurgence - and the butt of everybody's joke, but one has to wonder: what happens if the Wii U does eventually 'blow up.' Unlikely, sure, but there were developers who said the same thing about the PS3 only a few years ago, and look what happened there. The Wii U isn't at optimal health, but to get to a point where the current, perhaps future, version of Minecraft would make money may not be that far off. I seriously doubt, however, that Nintendo blindly makes that plunge, especially now.

Don’t Own a Wii U? It’s No Longer Nintendo’s Fault

The excuses for why people don't already own a Wii U are become outdated, and frankly, untrue. Everything from "there aren't enough quality games" to "it is too expensive" are two of the most oft used excuses. It's time to realize that the time to buy a Wii U might finally be here.

Dead Island: Riptide Remains on Top

On path to beating Bioshock Infinite for the amount of time it’s been in first place on the UK software charts, Dead Island: Riptide only needs to stay in first place next week for it to be the only game to last four weeks at the top in 2013. Bioshock Infinite itself has dropped down to number 6, with a lot of familiar faces filling the gaps between. Black Ops II, which had previously dropped out of the top ten,…
