Child of Light Coming to Vita

Child-of-Light2_900x506

Child of Light is an absolutely staggeringly beautiful game, great fun and impressing critics left and right. There’s one problem though: if you’re not sat at a console, you’re not going to be able to enjoy it. That’s why it’s great news that Ubisoft have announced that they’re bringing Aurora and pals to the PlayStation Vita later this year.

The Vita version will look as great as its console brethren, and depending on your set-up it may look even better. That beautiful OLED screen will make the colours absolutely pop, a definite positive for a game based so much on a water colour palette.

You’ll be able to pick up the handheld edition of Child of Light for £11.99, meaning there won’t be a discount over previous outings. With that said, the physical Vita version will include a bonus mission, an extra character and some collectables, so it’s not too bad a deal. There will be a digital release as well.

Both versions will release on July 2nd, so there won’t be a huge wait. If you’re absolutely desperate to play it, don’t hesitate: it’s going to be one of the best “indie” outings of the year, and you won’t regret double dipping.
