888 Casino App – Review

888 Casino offers a range of games within a low-weight app, all of which offer free and paid options. For those looking for a new Casino app this one is defiantly worth a try. This is an 888 casino review. For an 888 sports visit this review of their sports section.

The Games

Like other Casino apps, the first download is merely to access to the titles available. From there you have to download the individual titles you want. These are free, and many of them offer a single player trial so you know what you’re getting into.

There’s plenty to choose from, from fairly vanilla versions of slots, roulette and the like, all the way through to licensed titles based on things like Nightmare on Elm Street. There’s almost certainly going to be something that’ll catch your attention, and something that’s bound to hold it as well.

The app itself is well designed, with everything neatly cordoned off in their own sections. There’s also a top games menu, although they tend to be a little bit samey.

Place Your Bets

Once you’re actually into the game itself, you have to either choose to play offline for free or sign into an account.

If you don’t feel like paying real money, you’ll be able to play on your own, giving you some indication of what each title will feel like when you start plugging in your hard earned cash.

Apps are easy to use  and in case user is not sure what to do each game have own how to play link. You’ll soon get the hang of it – especially on games where there are only one or two buttons to press – but more complicated efforts are definitely available, and it would have been nice to see a little more information more readily available.

Animations, at least on the old iPhones, are pretty bad, and the fact that it’s badly lined up with the audio will make you cringe every time. It’s not going to have an effect on the actual gambling, but it may annoy you over time. It works bit better on the iPads, hopfully a future update will fix those.

The actual graphics though are above average; everything is clean and well laid out, which is exactly what you need.

Sounds

Although there’s not really much in the way of music, every new game asks whether you’re interested in having the sound on. It’s nice to always have the option close by, just in case you suddenly need to change your mind.

The sound itself is mostly just blips and blops – the kind of generic casino sounds that you’d expect. Occasionally there’ll be a robotic teller’s voice, which isn’t entirely unpleasant, but even that doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

888 Casino App – Conclusion

Casino buffs are going to love the range of options available, as well as the clean way it’s all laid out. While areas of the visual presentation leave a lot to be desired, the positives more than outweigh the negatives in this gambling application.

Positives

  • Plenty of games to choose from
  • Licensed titles
  • Known brand you can trust

Negatives

  • Visually could be better
  • Same with sound
