Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga 3DS Review

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowsers Minions released today on the Nintendo 3DS; as the title is essentially broken into two components - Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Bowsers Minions - we though we would review each separately. Today, we are looking at the recreation of the Gameboy Advanced classic RPG title. Is grabbing it on the 3DS solely to replay this classic adventure worth it, regardless of the Bowsers Minions additions? We think so, read on to find out why!

More Thoughts From Me #88: Switch Indie Game “Madness”

Last week, I was going to write about third party games. Instead, I wrote about the Adventure games coming to the Switch. This week…well, I have to admit I’m starting to wonder if the Switch even needs third party games! Don’t get wrong: it would be very nice to see more third party games come to the Switch, however, have you seen how many games came out for the system last week? And this week? Plus we have Super Mario…

One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition Nintendo Switch Preview

I’ve never watched the One Piece Anime nor have I read its manga. I’m not a fan of Anime or manga. So when editor-in-chief Adam Roffel asked if I wanted to review One Piece: Unlimited World Red Deluxe Edition for the Nintendo Switch, I was a bit skeptical. But I decided to watch a preview trailer for the game before I decided whether or not I’d review the game. The preview I watched looked interesting and so I decided to…

Monster Hunter Stories Will Be Getting Free Zelda DLC This Month

Monster Hunter Stories came out this month for the 3DS. I played the demo and thought it was good. Adam Roffel played the whole game and enjoyed it. And if you liked it too, then you may be excited about the free DLC that’s coming to the game this month. Check out the video below for the DLC reveal and then please come back for my impressions of it. The Link outfit in Monster Hunter Stories looks very good. Even…

YS VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana Review

I've never had the pleasure of playing a YS game before, and after playing YS VII: Lacrimosa of Dana I really wish I had. From the first cutscenes to the moment I was able to take control of the games protagonist, Adol. Although the game isn't without a few faults, it is an outstanding experience from start to finish, one I'm really glad I was able to play.

More Thoughts From Me #86: The Rabbids Invade the Mushroom Kingdom

I didn’t believe the rumor about a Mario crossover game with Ubisoft’s Rabbids. I thought it was just something somebody with a lot of time and an overactive imagination came up with. And when I found out it was true, I wondered how good a game with Mario and the Rabbids could be. I was very impressed by the first footage of the game though. I was starting to get excited about Mario and Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. Would this game…

Earthlock: Festival of Magic Wii U Impressions

Earthlock: Festival of Magic is a brand new turn-based rpg for the Wii U eshop. Yes I just said a brand new game for the Wii U! You do not see that very often, especially now that even Nintendo has abandoned the system for the Switch. So I have to admit I was pretty excited for this game. I love rpgs, I love the Wii U, and I think its great to play a new game on the system again.…

PDP’s Latest Shipment Shows They are About Diversity of Franchises

When the Pixel Pals were first launched by PDP, we noticed a number of people commenting on our social media threads that Performance Design Products was going to cater to the Nintendo audience with these releases, and basically leaving out the 'hardcore' audience. From what we have seen, however, this is far from the truth, and the latest shipments we have received for review speak volumes to that.

Project Octopath Traveler Demo Impressions

One of the biggest surprises of the recent Nintendo Direct was the announcement of a demo of Project Octopath Traveler for Nintendo Switch. I was surprised, in the first place, that Nintendo and Square were showing off the game. I thought Octopath was a long way off and might not be shown off too much yet. So to get footage and a demo on the same day was a shock and delight. I have to admit I’ve been pretty excited…

Nintendo Direct: Third Party Support Strong, Nintendo Publisher of the Year?

Yesterday's Nintendo Direct was incredible, with 45 minutes of non-stop announcements, reveals, and details on all our favorite announced - and previously unannounced - titles coming to the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Nintendo has to be in line for Publisher of the Year for all that they have accomplished in 2017, leaving the Wii U and the criticisms that surrounded the company during that time way in the past. With strong 3rd party support on the horizon, and tons of great titles left for 2017, it's obvious to me that Nintendo ...
