More Thoughts From Me #275: Addicted to Immortals Fenyx Rising

For awhile now, I’ve wanted to play Immortals Fenyx Rising on the Nintendo Switch. I liked the demo a lot. But I hesitated on the game. I knew the price would lower for it eventually. And finally, I saw the game on sale for its lowest price ever and I was able to get it. I’ve played the game a lot since I got it on Saturday. I’m addicted to it! Hello, my name is Daniel. I’m addicted to Immortals…

Sun Wukong VS Robot

Sun Wukong Vs Robot is another 2D Metroid-like game for the Nintendo Switch. Will it make an impression on you? Will it be just another good game in a sea of others Metroidvania’s? Then again, it could just be a bad one. Let’s find out in this review of Sun Wukong Vs. Robot! Sun Wukong Vs. Robot is a 2D action/adventure Metroidvania game. It looks a lot like Metroid in fact, though its character is smaller and faster than Samus.…

More Thoughts From Me E3 Special Edition: And The Winner Is…

E3 2021 is over! Was it the best E3 ever? Nope. Was it fun? Yep. But, who won? Did anyone win? Let’s talk about who the “winner” of E3 is! E3 2021 was alright. It wasn’t the best E3 ever. It wasn’t even the best game related event this year (those State of Plays and the Dragon Quest event rocked) but it did offer some surprises and delightful games. Xbox and Nintendo did good. Ubisoft and Square Enix were not…

Ninten-DO what Xbox Don’t for E3 Presentations

The Nintendo presentation was a selection of leaked announcements, underwhelming reveals and video quality that almost has me believing the Switch Pro is nothing more than a retail conspiracy theory. So why the hell are people talking about this show so much? For every exciting moment in Nintendo’s E3 presentation, there was an opportunity to sit through the Monster Hunter Stories trailer again, or a Game & Watch toy for the 35th anniversary of Zelda. Ya know, instead of the…

More Thoughts From Me E3 Special Edition: Nintendo Goes Not Save E3 But They Did Pretty Good

Let’s admit it: E3 2021 hasn’t been great. And today’s Nintendo Direct wasn’t world changing but it was pretty good. Time to talk about Nintendo! Today’s Nintendo Direct is over! As I write this, the Nintendo Treehouse is airing and its showing…METROID DREAD. Yes a new Metroid game was shown during the Nintendo. And its a 2D Metroid game. Without a doubt, this was the most shocking part of the Direct. Yes, a 2D Metroid was rumored and speculated about…

Updates for Mario Golf Will be Key to the Games Success

With the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo has been promoting and updating their games with both paid and free DLC more often than not. Mario Tennis Aces, the other Mario Sports title to release on the platform, received a ton of paid DLC content. And Mario Tennis has enjoyed a long life on the Nintendo Switch, with tons of folks still playing it today. So can Nintendo keep that up with Mario Golf: Super Rush?

Early E3 2021 Conferences Proving Nintendo Still Does it Best

Nintendo has been putting out digital, prerecorded shows for a good long while now, and have perfected the art of creating an entertaining show without leaving bored fans behind with endless explanations about single games. Unfortunately, others haven't found that out - both Geoff's Summer Game Fest and Ubisoft's own event were long, drawn out video experiences that left me with a bad taste in my mouth. So what has Nintendo done differently? Let's take a look.
