Story of Seasons 1.0.5 Update Available in Europe and Australia

Although not yet available in North America, the update for Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is finally hitting some English speaking countries today, as Marvelous announced a few hours ago that the update was live and ready for folks to download. While most updates for games are only a few MBs big, this one is much larger, and makes a number of changes to the game, including one change I’ve been asking for since day one!

Makers are now vastly improved, and you can load resources into the makers now to make up to 10 of the final product. So that means 30 logs will now produce 10 lumber without you having to go back and stick 3 logs in each time. The amount of time to create those logs has also been drastically reduced.

Other important changes have also come that again address issues I’ve had. Prior to 1.0.5, if you went to the Hotel or Bistro for food, the meal you ate, regardless of what you chose, would always look like a fish, a soup, and a salad. So if you ordered a pasta dish, you got a fish. If you ordered a salad, you got a fish. Now, things are varied, and align more with what you order.

Here is a list of all the changes:

—-【Version 1.0.5 Notes】————

  • Changes the functionality of makers to make them easier to use
Makers can now be pre-loaded with enough materials to continually make up to 10 items of the same type
  • Adds the ability to sidestep and lock movement in a straight line
Hold the L Button or R Button while moving with the Left Stick to lock your movement in left, right, up, or down direction
  • Adds a heart gauge visual during dialogue with marriage candidates
  • Improves some issues that caused lag
  • Removes the need to press the A Button when moving from indoors to outdoors
  • Adjusts some cooking times
  • Adjusts some of the residents’ existing dialogue and adds new dialogue
  • Changes characters’ responses when giving a present, confession, or proposing multiple times in one day
  • Adds new visuals for different meals
