Wild West Earthbound: A Look At Boot Hill Bounties for Nintendo Switch

Earthbound is one of my favorite SNES rpgs. I liked the game before I was even a rpg fan! I couldn’t stand other rpgs then, but Earthbound reached me because of its unique humor. There has never been a game exactly like Earthbound. Many have tried to be like it and many have failed. And now there is Boot Hill Bounties. Its set in the Wild West but there are aspects of it that feel like Earthbound. Boot Hill Bounties…

Panzer Dragoon: Remake feat

Panzer Dragoon: Remake Review

When released in the mid 1990's, Panzer Dragoon captivated gamers with its revolutionary visuals and controls. As one of the first 3D games available for console gamers, Panzer Dragoon allowed the player to change your views and experience the depth of the 3D world it is set in. Now, 25 years later, Panzer Dragoon: Remake has been released for modern consoles. The question in the minds of many (myself included) is how well could this type of game really function in a modern setting? 3D worlds are old news at this point, and the guided system that really just ...

Shinsekai: Into the Depths Review

When I think of underwater games, I tend to think of Bioshock. That is the best example of a game that takes place underwater. Most of the time though, underwater experiences are only part of a game and not the whole concept. Shinseki: Into the Depths is a 2D Metroidvania that takes place completely underwater. Is it any good? Here is my review of Shinseki: Into the Depths for the Nintendo Switch! Shinsekai: Into the Depths for the Nintendo Switch…

Animal Crossing New Horizons: Post Bunny Day Thoughts

The egg curse is over! The eggs are gone! GONE! Bunny Day is finally over. What did I think of the event? Well… Bunny Day was a mistake. Let me back up a little. I loved Bunny Day in New Leaf. In that game, it was one day and you went around finding eggs and the bunny gave you stuff. But in New Horizons, the holiday was different. Instead of one day, the event was 12 days. There was 12…

Curious Expedition

Once upon a time in a land before Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One, there was a game called Oregon Trail. It was PC game. In it, you traveled the Oregon Trail, trying to survive, and likely getting killed every single time. And now Curious Expedition has come to Nintendo Switch. Its not exactly Oregon Trail but it has a lot in common with it. Curious Expedition has you playing as a famous explorer of your choice who goes out…

LEGO Super Mario Available August 1st

I'll be the first to admit that what Nintendo and LEGO revealed earlier this year was not quite what I was expecting when I heard that the two entertainment giants were going to partner together on a line of sets. While the appeal isn't likely there for adults - unless they are looking to purchase for display purposes - the market for kids is huge, and based on the reactions of my 10 and 6 year olds, it's going to be a big hit in the Roffel household.
