Playmobil Announces New Eco-Friendly Line

We have been reviewing a number of Playmobil sets on the site over the past year or so, and the company is ready to announce their next big series. This time around, the new playsets – under th theme Wiltopia – are being made with 80% sustainable materials! This move towards a more eco friendly production plan is such a fantastic, industry leading practice that I hope more companies adopt. And there is no better way to launch this new…

Love Letter a Ruthless Card Deduction Game

Every once in a while a game hits the board game industry that is so popular, it not only sells out everywhere, but it also gets spinoff releases based on various popular intellectual properties. And that game over the past half decade or so has been Love Letter. While standard Love Letter is a lot of fun, you can now get Batman Love Letter, The Hobbit Love Letter, Marvel Love Letter, and so many more. While each version might give…

Box Monster is Mysterious Fun for Kids

Finding games that I actually want to play with my kids can be pretty hard as most games geared towards younger ages are pretty boring, lackluster, or I’ve played them way to much. Every once in a while a new game will come around that offers a lot of promise, and generally delivers a fun experience for all involved. While Box Monster didn’t quite hit that high for me, it is still an excellent game my kids have enjoyed over…

Citadels Board Game Review

Board game remakes and reprints are on the rise, and Citadels is one of those titles that has received a glossy coat of paint, included all previous expansions, and has been relaunched for public consumption. As someone who owned the original in that tiny box, it's nice to have a complete set of the game to enjoy, and I think it's a worthwhile upgrade to make.

If No PC, Dice Legacy on Switch is a Must Own

Dice Legacy mixes two genres I really enjoy - strategy and board games. While I think that's probably off the table - pun intended - there is a lot to love about Dice Legacy on PC and Nintendo Switch.

Join up with some of your favourite characters from Alice in Wonderland, and let's see how it plays!

Tapestry – Arts and Architecture Review

If you haven't read my review of the fantastic board game Tapestry, than hop over to that article and check it out. Tapestry is easily one of my top 5 games of all time, and with so much content via a few expansion packs, every game feels new and unique, even after a dozen or more plays. A few months back, the good people at Stonemaier Games sent over the latest expansion - Arts and Architecture. Let's check it out.

7 Wonders Duel Review

7 Wonders is one of my favourite board games, but with so many games to play and only one scheduled board game night per week, it's not one we get to the table often. Every Thursday a group of friends sits down to play one of the best new board games available on the market, and often times, it's not something old. During the rest of the week, it is just my wife and I, and two player games are the cats meow! Enter 7 Wonders Duel, a perfect game that closely represents that feeling of the main game, but is designed specifically for two players! Let's hop in!
