Mario and Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Games

Mario & Sonic have visited a number of historic cities over the past decade in order to participate in the Olympic Games, and for the most part, the games are exactly what you would expect them to be: a collection of sports themed mini games that are more fun with friends than they are alone. And for the most part, Tokyo 2020 is the same as in years past, but with new events and a short story mode! Bringing New…

Nintendo Switch Lite Review

A few months ago, Nintendo invited us to Toronto, Ontario to experience the Nintendo Switch Lite for the very first time. While our time with the device then was pretty short – we had about an hour or so to play a few upcoming Nintendo Switch titles – we did get to pump out a few early impressions, which I’ve copied below. Who’s Buying the Nintendo Switch Lite? Our first take from that preview was, “Who is buying a Nintendo…

PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller

The wireless Pro Controller from Nintendo is one of the best controllers available on the market, not only for the Nintendo Switch, but across all current generation systems. With the HD rumble and gyro controls, there really isn’t a controller like it. Unfortunately, all of that functionality comes with a heavy price tag, to a resounding 89.99 CAD in Canada. While not releasing a cheaper alternative, Nintendo has partnered with PowerA to release a set of ...

Bus simulator and Airline simulator are two big misses for me, while Farming Simulator is probably one of the best in the genre. Construction simulator had a ton of potential to be outstanding, as it skews more towards farming simulator, as opposed to bus or airline simulator. And for the most part, I think Construction Simulator 2 hits more positives than negatives! The game ...

Forager Review

My initial thoughts of Forager were mixed, and that was before I ever got my hands on it. It looked interesting, but at the same time, it looked…basic. But when my Nintendo Switch review version came in the mail, and I had to review it, I realized that you really shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, or say, a game by its trailer. So what is Forager? Simply put, it’s a pixelated version of any survival / farming simulation…

Nintendo Switch Online – One Year Later

It’s been just over a year since the Nintendo Switch Online service launched, and thanks to our friends at Nintendo of Canada, we have been gifted a second year of the service, free of charge. While a fantastic gesture from Nintendo, I would be lying if I didn’t say my Nintendo Switch Online subscription would have auto-renewed in December, and I would have been A-OK with that. For the price, this really is a promising service. While it’s not all…
