On Wednesday, we talked about the first Bayonetta’s visuals. Today the game comes out for the Nintendo Switch! And this is really just the perfect moment to talk about Bayonetta’s gameplay. The graphics on a game can be great, but if the gameplay sucks, well, than the game will be forgotten faster then this review-in-progress! So how does Bayonetta play on the Nintendo Switch? When you use the analog stick and button controls on Bayonetta, this game plays really well.…

Bayonetta 2 Review

If you never got around to owning a Wii U - or if you did but never got a chance to play Bayonetta 2 - Nintendo is giving you the ability to play both Bayonetta 1 and 2 ahead of the launch of Bayonetta 3 later this year. While my colleague Daniel has been working on our review of Bayonetta, I've been working on Bayonetta 2. Although it hasn't been that long since we all had the opportunity to play Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U, I think it was very important for Nintendo to bring the whole trilogy to the Switch. But has there been any improvements in the two years ...

Meanwhile I’m not a huge fan of Bayonetta, as I hinted at in my preview, but I do think its a great game. My full review isn’t ready yet, but I wanted to do this review in progress to highlight some of the reasons why this game…

When Adam Roffel asked if I wanted to review Bayonetta for the Nintendo Switch, I said yes. Would I like Bayonetta? I wasn’t sure, but I knew there were a lot of people who liked it on Wii U. Is Bayonetta a good game on the Switch? Here’s my preview…

Dragon Quest Builders Review

When Square Enix was looking to develop and publish Dragon Quest Builders on the PS4, it was no secret what was inspiring their motives. Minecraft was, and still is, a huge commercial hit, and while it excels at the building aspects, it falters on story. Other companies have tried to replicate that success with an added story, but with limited success. The latest versions of Harvest Moon instantly come to mind. Square Enix, however, managed to do that when they released Dragon Quest Builders on the PS4. With a metacritic score of 83%, most media outlets ...

Steamworld Dig Switch Review

I’ve played the orignal Steamworld Dig on the 3DS and the Wii U. It is an excellent game. And now that excellent game is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Is this version any better than the other versions or is it the exact same game as before? Nothing has changed about Steamworld Dig’s story. Steamworld Dig for the Switch is the same experiance that it was on other consoles. This game has a really good story. Though, the gameplay is…

My Time At Portia Impressions

It's been a pretty rough early go in 2018, but thankfully a handful of great games has made each day enjoyable. One of those titles is My Time At Portia, a story driven crafting game that has plenty of charm and will keep you playing for hours. Developed by Chinese developer Pathera Games, and being published by the notorious Team 17 - of Worms fame - this game has just recently hit Steam Early Access, and thanks to the good people over at Team 17, we had the opportunity to take it for a spin!
