Ratchet and Clank Adventuring to Vita?

Ratchet-Clank-The-Movie_690x388

All of Sony’s main HD trilogies are now available on the Vita, and a lot of the third party collections have made their way across as well. There’s one major franchise missing, and it’s especially surprising since they’ve made their way to the console in a separate game already. Ratchet and Clank HD isn’t yet available on Sony’s latest handheld, but it seems like that might change fairly soon.

This isn’t a rumour that’s come out of nowhere. A few weeks ago, retailer ShopTo put up an entry for a Ratchet and Clank HD Collection on Vita, but there was never any real proof to back it up. Now an entry for the game has appeared on an official PlayStation site, the Italian arm of PlayStation Business. The site lists the collection at €30.99.

It’s pretty obvious what the set will contain. It’ll be exactly the same as the PS3 set, including Ratchet and Clank 1, 2 and 3, although how they’ll be packaged is less obvious. Some HD collections have included two games on cartridge and a digital code for the final game, but it all depends on how much space there is.

The official site lists Ratchet and Clank HD for release on July 2nd, a Wednesday, which actually helps confirm the leak. That’s the day the EU store gets updated.

With a movie on the way and a desperate need to keep the content coming on Vita, this collection was always going to be a foregone conclusion. It’s still going to be well worth checking out, as it’ll contain some of the best PS2 games ever made.
