Animal Crossing: New Leaf is largely a game about leaving an impression. Whether you're creating your town in the sometimes dull single player or if you're visiting friends to see how they've built up their world, you can do so with a personality and charm that you yourself have created. In many ways, you can be whatever you want to be in New Leaf, unless you want to be black. Then your only option is to tan, tan, tan.
In the wake of the E3 Nintendo Direct presentation, a new trailer for the 3DS’ Link to the Past sequel was uploaded on Nintendo’s official website, leaving us with a curious, new title for the anticipated sequel.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.
During their E3 Nintendo Direct presentation this morning, Nintendo revealed a new trailer for Pokemon X and Y. In addition to showcasing the newly announced Kalos region, a handful of new Pokemon have also been revealed.
That there were two Super Smash Brothers games in development was no secret, but it was still great to get that first look in today's Nintendo Direct. The cel-shaded 3DS version that looked nice and smooth, if a little rough when made to fit a TV screen, and the sharp HD Wii U version. These are both going to end up as top games on their respective consoles, if only by their doing more of the same, but with better graphics.
Sonic the Hedgehog is returning on Wii U and 3DS this year. Sonic Lost Worlds was unveiled at the last Nintendo Direct, although nothing about the game was revealed. That's changed now, with quite a nice trailer introducing the main badniks, as well as some new gameplay. It looks different. It's too early to tell if that's a good thing, although it seems like Sonic may actually be a little slower than he has been before.
Level-5 have today announced the release of The Starship Damrey, a sci-fi adventure game for the 3DS. This was first announced as coming westward in the last Nintendo Direct, and places players into a rather odd role. Placed aboard a starship, the player is simply dropped into the game and are left to work out who they are and why they’re there. The original Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii ran at a smooth 60FPS, an impressive feat considering the hardware and just how good that game looked. This isn't a good thing, but considering that the graphics still look great and that there's plenty happening on screen at any given time, it's hard to complain too much.
It was a fantastic day to be a Zelda fan yesterday, especially if you've been waiting for something new to play on your 3DS. During the Nintendo Direct, a couple of classic portable Zelda titles were announced to be coming to the 3DS Virtual Console, while those after a purely new experience got their fill as well.
Popular Japanese gaming mag Coro Coro has released information on the Mewtwo-like image of a Pokemon from X and Y that's shaken up the Poke-world. Has Mewtwo cloned himself? Is this the work of Team Rocket? Could this be Mewthree? The truth is perhaps slightly more confusing. The Pokemon that was revealed last week is in fact Mewtwo, just in a different form.
A mysterious new Mewtwo-esque Pokemon was recently revealed on the official Pokemon website. Could this be a new Mewtwo form, an unexpected evolution or maybe a whole new Pokemon all together?
Having stated the fact that:
"It is suspected that the newly discovered Pokemon has some sort of connection with the legendary Mewtwo", any of the three theories are plausible.
However, this reveal could be more closely related to the new Pokemon games than we think. Having been named "X" ...
