It was only a month ago that Randy Pitchford said his studio wasn't working on a new Borderlands title and that hiding work on new titles was pointless, and here we are. Although it's true that Gearbox aren't directly working on Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, a new game set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, 2K Australia apparently are.

Borderlands has a pretty rich world, completed by recognisable and memorable characters. The only downside is all that distracting shooting. That's why it's pretty amazing (and just a little surprising) that Telltale are working on a new set of episodic content based in the world of Borderlands.

Although the season pass for Borderlands 2 ended with the fantastic Assault on Dragon's Keep, Gearbox isn't done with their smash hit action-RPG just yet. During a panel at PAX Australia, Gearbox announced new plans to keep the world of Pandora fresh through the fall, with new 'Headhunter' mission packs and a huge raise to the level cap.

While I've thoroughly enjoyed playing Borderlands 2 like a fiend the last ten months, I never found myself to be fully satisfied with the game. Sure, it feels great to get all the uber-rare weapons and mods and take on all the raid bosses and whatnot - I'm talking about emotionally: if there's one way Borderlands 2 disappointed me, it was how it mostly wasted its opportunity at creating a resonant narrative: even the death of a beloved character didn't provide anything but the most particular story beats.

It was made clear that Borderlands 2 would be receiving a sixth playable character class in the form of Krieg, the Psycho Bandit. Although we knew he was well on his way after the PAX East gameplay demo, actual release details were never shared… Until today!

Originally, Borderlands 2 was not designed with a level cap raise in mind – everything in development was geared towards maxing out at 50. So when thousands of Borderlands 2 gamers had multiple level 50 character a few months (or weeks, in many cases) after release, Gearbox found themselves in a bit of a conundrum: stick to their guns, or go back in and tinker with the math to add more levels?

There is a really nice deluxified version of Radlands, a somewhat binged out version with nice plastic tokens, and a standard version available. The standard version, specifically, is so inexpensive that even before this review is over I suggest you head out and pick it up if you enjoy two player card games!
