iOS7 Adds Controller Support

ios-7-announcement_690x392

Stop the press! The biggest news of the gaming day – and it’s been a day filled with gaming news – is that the next update to the iOS includes the ability to use third party controllers with the system. Announced yesterday, very few details have been shared, but the very news will be enough to open up a whole new world of mobile gaming, and it might even make a few old favourites even more of a pleasure to play.

No word yet on exactly which controllers will be supported, or which games will support them, but there’s enough potential there that many mobile gamers will be dying to get a hold on iOS7. The newly designed operating system has been made to be simple and to put all of your favourite features at only a swipe away. Everything about your phone is about to change, and controller support is just the tip of the iceberg.

Note: Our E3 team are now resting up after a hectic day of coverage. More news and opinions, on Ubisoft, Sony and beyond, will be published tomorrow.
