Skyrim Gets A Second Wind on Nintendo Switch

With the launch of the Xbox One X recently, the talk has been all about graphics. And while that is important - and definitely appreciated when playing the popular Xbox games in 4K - there is something that should be said about portability and stability, versus graphical power. I'll be the first to say that if I have to take a minor graphical hit to take my favorite games on the go with the Nintendo Switch, I'm all for it. The argument has been, "Well the graphics are going to be really poor on the Nintendo Switch." Frankly, that just isn't the case, and ...

Pokémon Ultra Sun & Pokémon Ultra Moon Review

The typical Pokémon generation of video games has been highlighted by two initial releases, followed by one ‘complete’ release. You had Pokémon Red and Blue, and then Pokémon Yellow. You had Gold and Siler, and then Crystal. You had Diamond and Pearl, and then Platinum, and so on. Until the release of Black and White, followed up by Black 2 and White 2, Game Freak has stuck to this generational system. Not until now has Game Freak again released sequels to their most popular title, rather than a ‘complete’ edition. Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon are ...

Nintendo has released a commercial for the game! We have that below, plus some thoughts from me about Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I’ve been watching a lot of preview footage for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 lately. The game looks so very good! I did enjoy the other Xenoblade games, however Xenoblade…

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds

If you haven't had the opportunity yet to play Horizon Zero Dawn, you need to stop reading this article, head to your nearest retailer, and grab a copy. If not for a few heavy hitters from Nintendo, you'd likely be playing the Game of the Year; if you want my opinion on the matter, it stands a chance to win, regardless of what has been released so far this year! To extend the game play experience, the developers have released a large DLC expansion for the game title The Frozen Wilds, which adds a whole new biome for Aloy to explore, and quests to complete.

Xbox One X Coverage: Assassin’s Creed Origins

One of the more high profile titles we received with our review bundle was Assassin's Creed Origins, developed and produced right here in Canada at Ubisoft Montreal. From top to bottom, the reimagined Assassin's Creed title is phenomenal in more ways than one, and with only a few hiccups, it wasn't hard to slap an outstanding review score on this one. While our initial review as done on a console that did not support 4K, we knew we would have to give the title a spin a second time on the Xbox One X. Despite having over 50 hours in my original game, it didn't ...

Assassin’s Creed Origins Review

Assassin's Creed Origins is a fantastic experience from start to finish, and very few things made my cringe in my current 40 hour play through. Full disclosure: I haven't done everything you can do in this game yet, but am planning to do so. What I have done though, is experience all the new mechanics Ubisoft has included in the title, as well as completed what I consider a pretty good story, at least when compared to other Assassin's Creed titles! How does it rank against all the other big games this year? Read our thoughts below!
