The PC version of Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, SEGA's re-release of the classic Disney-inspired Genesis/Megadrive platformer, is locked at 30FPS. This puts it on par with the console version, but fans who were holding out for smoother animations are very disappointed.

Bit of an average week for releases. The featured game this week is none other than Diablo III. Will console gamers welcome it with open arms or will it be largely ignored? Only time will tell. Other releases this week includes Mickey Mouse making a comeback, a couple rhythm games, a farmer's dream game and a return to Helghan.

Deep Silver have announced that Saints Row IV has done very well, selling a million copies in its first week. The fourth entry in the franchise has more than tripled the PC copies of Saints Row The Third sold in the same time frame.

GameSpy was once the centre of online gaming, boasting server support for over 400 games, but it has more recently dropped into disuse, with its name popping up less and less. That's partly ebcause developers see more value in services like Steamworks, which are integrated right into where people are buying and collecting their games anyway.

Rockstar have announced that a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V will be released this Thursday. Aside from calling it the "official" trailer, little else is said about it This will be the eighth trailer to be released for Grand Theft Auto V, and will likely be one of the last before the game is launched. Expect this to be a mash-up of everything we've seen so far, a nice mix of single player gameplay, story and online features. It seems unlikely that it'll be as shocking as the others, but perhaps there'll be a few surprises to keep fans hungry ahead of ...

A great week for releases with something for everyone. The featured game for this week is none other than Final Fantasy XIV Online. Will the MMO impress or will we be choking the Chocobo this time next week in a fit of rage? Only time will tell.

Anuman Interactive have today announced Garfield Kart, an arcade racer based on the famous comic book series. With eight racers to choose from and sixteen tracks to master, Garfield Kart will have you exploring alternative routes and talking no end of lasagne when it releases in October of this year.

A forum at the Bioware Social site has revealed a new social game, Heroes of Dragon Age, may be announced in the near future. The forum, which is definitely set up for public access (with role playing and feedback sub-forums set up) is locked to posters, but is accessible at the link above.

Excellent week this week for releases with two high profile games coming out in the next 7 days. Other releases include a couple 2D fighters and an 80s remake.
