Ghost Recon Breakpoint, PC, PS4 or Xbox edition, is the newest release of the extensive series, focusing on the remote fictional battlefield but also touching on the contemporary subjects and themes. So, if you like FPS games, are a fan of Tom Clancy’s games franchise or just want something exciting to grace your library with, consider investing your time in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

A successor to a success

The newest release is set as a sequel to the 2017’s game Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, however, the game presents a new original story, not quite directly related to the one in Wildlands. However, the protagonist known as the Nomad returns to Ghost Recon Breakpoint PC, this time with another task and a bunch of new enemies. The degree of realism that was set in the previous part remains, the openness of the in-game world and numerous extensive locations are there as well.

The game takes place on the fictional archipelago called Auroa. This wonderful locale is home to Skell Technology, meant as a hub for research and discovery. It consists of several biomes, simulating wetlands, forests, snowy fields, and a variety of other locations. However, once this peaceful research haven is taken over by militarized traitorous cell, the biomes turn into battlefields of great importance. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, PC or console version, will allow to freely explore the world, with only some tasks to pinpoint important aspects; it’s the open-world FPS like none other.

Your Ghost, your way

One notable element of the game is the fact that teammates can drop in and out of your game at the moment’s notice. This can help you achieve objectives faster, or just have fun when engaging the enemy with friends or strangers – you might even find trusty worthwhile companions this way! Another thing to note is the customization options. Simply put, you can make your Ghost into what you envision. Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PC and console releases are designed to give you control over not only your character’s looks but also of its playstyle.

With multiple classes and various customizable selections, your character will never be stuck as someone else’s twin. Additionally, your customizations will carry over to all aspects of the gaming experience: when you visit another player, when you engage in multiplayer content or when you run around through your own map – you’ll always play as… well, you. The character retains its uniqueness and thus presents more engagement no matter on what mode you decide to play.

True soldier’s way

Because the game is designed to portray a soldier on the run, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PC is set to focus on the matter as well. Your character will be relentlessly pursued by misused technology and hostile former comrades, therefore using all the knowledge that you’ve accumulated while being a Ghost will be crucial for survival. Among the things, you will be able to do is the ability to merge with your surroundings – or at least adapt to the environment and avoid detection. Use this feature to set up traps and ambush the enemy when they least expect it. Just keep in mind and don’t forget that they once were Ghosts as well!

Injury is unavoidable in this line of work, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, PC edition or not, doesn’t take it for granted. When your character gets injured, it suffers consequences. You might move at a slower pace and you won’t be as effective as when in full health – Rambo role has no place in the narrative. You will also have to spend resources to heal your character, as well as give it time to get back to the peak condition.

But perhaps you are injured to the point where you might struggle to move, let alone fight. Well, you can count on your team to deliver you out of the combat with the new feature called buddy carry. In Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PC, it is inadvisable to try and tend to your downed teammate right in the middle of the firefight. Instead, you can carry them to safety and see that they survive when you are both safe from the flying bullets, even the cover picture notes this!

Another brilliant feature is the terrain and elements. Seems straightforward, but you have to experience it to know about the in-depth struggles. Depending on which biome you are in, you will face numerous issues which the local environments present. Probably the most obvious and dangerous one would be the snowy terrain, as you can slip off to the unknown while on the snow. However, in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PC even something as unassuming as a bottle of water might also spell your doom since water slows you down and use up your stamina. And a tired soldier is often a dead soldier.

Comfortable progression

The game has a compelling and relevant story. Disillusioned with the constant wars and pointless sacrifices, some of the fellow Ghosts desert and rename themselves to Wolves. They are set on taking over the technological paradise and it is your mission in the main story mode to stop them. If you’d want to take a break from the intense action, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint PC allows you to explore the open world and complete a variety of additional objectives on your own terms.

Solo or with friends, however, you want to play, you will surely find something to capture your attention. Just keep in mind that this iteration requires a stable internet connection – to support the drop-in/drop-out system for co-op. Taking everything into account, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, PC and console release promises to deliver an exciting, captivating, and extraordinaire experience. Face the former comrades, rely on your teammates and customize your Ghost in order to be prepared for all the danger the next Tom Clancy’s game throws at you.
