Quake Remaster Review

There's virtually nothing new left to say about Quake, one of the breakthrough titles that changed the gaming industry forever. Along with its predecessor Doom, Quake stands as one of the most inspirational games of all times. It's 3D rendering was way ahead of its time and arsenal of weapons, puzzles and level design hold up to this day. Quake truly is a classic, and it has been remastered with 1080p resolution support, enhanced models, dynamic lighting and so much more.

More Thoughts From Me E3 Special Edition: Nintendo Goes Not Save E3 But They Did Pretty Good

Let’s admit it: E3 2021 hasn’t been great. And today’s Nintendo Direct wasn’t world changing but it was pretty good. Time to talk about Nintendo! Today’s Nintendo Direct is over! As I write this, the Nintendo Treehouse is airing and its showing…METROID DREAD. Yes a new Metroid game was shown during the Nintendo. And its a 2D Metroid game. More Thoughts From Me E3 Special Edition: Xbox and Bethesda Bring It

The Xbox/Bethesda event was today and…well, actually it was really really good! Let’s talk about it! I had high hopes going into the Xbox/Bethesda event and guess what? They mostly delivered! I say mostly because I didn’t feel like there was anything too surprising during the event and they did make one misstep, which I will talk about later, but otherwise… The event started with Starfield. It was just a CGI trailer with no gameplay but it looked amazing. I…

Is Far Cry 6 The Ultimate Far Cry Blend?

After watching the trailer for Far Cry 6 on today's E3 Livestream I can't help but wonder if Ubisoft has found the perfect blend of elements and setting for a Far Cry game. I know everyone has their own opinions on what the best story has been in the Far Cry franchise (but if you think it was anything other than FC5 you're just plain wrong) as well as their favourite setting. But this trailer showed me something exciting - something fresh.

More Thoughts From Me E3 Special Edition: Ubisoft’s Dull Show Ends With A Bang

Ubisoft had their E3 event today and…well…look at the title. I mean, I know that kind of sums things up, but let me go into more detail. Ubisoft’s E3 event was today and…well technically its still going on as I write this. They have a post-show event about this Rainbow Six thing. I do not care. I have it on anyway. Let’s back up. What did I think of the pre-Ubisoft show? Um. It was not much of a pre-show…

More Thoughts From Me Special Edition: Is Summer Game Fest Over Yet?

Summer Game Fest, the Geoff Keighley pre-E3 event, happened today. I watched it all and now I have some thoughts on it. I thought that Summer Game Fest would never end. The Geoff Keighley event lasted a long time and after that was an indie game focused Day of the Devs event. Let’s talk about the main Summer Game Fest event first. Geoff Keighley is the host of the Game of Awards an also the host of Summer Game Fest.…
