More Thoughts From Me Special Edition: OMG! That Xbox Showcase!
Today we got an Xbox Showcase. How was it?! It. Was. Awesome. Let’s talk about why my mind is completely blown.
Today’s Xbox Showcase was so amazing. I thought at first that the recent State of Play was still better than this Showcase than, well, my mind changed. Xbox did the best showcase this year! Heck, its still going on because as I write this, they are showing footage of the fantastic looking The Outer Worlds 2. I loved the first game. This second one looks even better.
But other than The Outer Worlds 2, what else did they show in the showcase?
Well, we saw of Clockwork Revolution which was jaw-dropping. We saw games from Double Fine and Thunderful. We saw Planet of Lana 2 and there were three moments that made me SCREAM.
What were those three moments?
The first was DLC for the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle game. I gave that one a 10 out of 10. It was my favorite game of last year. DLC for this game?! Oh I so need it!
Then. OMG. Then! It was revealed that we’re getting a remake of Persona 4. Oh man. I love Persona 4. I am so excited about this. There was no date for it, which probably means 2026 but wow. That was pretty great.
And THEN. Just as I was saying “hey the only thing that would make this better is a great Square Enix announcement.” And WAM. We got Final Fantasy 7 Remake announced for this winter for the Xbox. AND. AND. Final Fantasy 16 is coming out TODAY for Xbox. They shadow dropped a Final Fantasy game! Thats how awesome this Showcase is.
Oh and I’m probably going to have to rewatch this Outer Worlds 2 Direct because I’m totally missing it as I write this. I look up every once and awhile and it just looks incredible. And now they are talking about Grounded 2 which looks pretty good too!
Xbox did such a great job today. I can’t believe how awesome that was. whew. WOW.
