New Releases this week | Aug 5th – Aug 11th 2013
The summer drought has come and gone if this week's releases are any indication. The upcoming 7 days are rife with new releases particularly for PlayStation.

Minigore 2 free for Anniversary
Four years ago, developer Mountain Sheep introduced the world to a new hero: John Gore, the man who found himself eternally chased by hordes and hordes of zombies, zombie sheep, and other undead creatures. When Minigore hit iOS back in 2009, it was one of the first dual-stick shooters on the platform, responsible for the genre's huge popularity in the early days of premium iOS gaming.

Bioshock 2’s Minerva’s Den Coming to Steam
While Bioshock 2 received some rather mixed reaction from fans of the original, I've never heard a bad thing about Minerva's Den, with maybe one exception. It never made it to Steam. That seems about to change. Minerva's Den has appeared in the Steam Registry. It'll be available for download individually, playable with your copy of Bioshock 2, or it'll be bundled up with the full game for those that have never played either.

Arkham City Ditching its GFWL DRM?
Some major changes to the Batman: Arkham City Steam entry seems to imply that the second Rocksteady-developed Batman game will soon lose its DRM. If you own a copy of Arkham City on Steam, your purchase just might end up being a lot more "yours."

Company of Heroes 2 an “Insult to Russian History”
Americans "saving the world" during World War II isn't a new thing in entertainment. If you believed the Hollywood version of events, the bravest of the brave all came from the US and everybody else died rather embarrassingly or wouldn't have saved the day without the help of said US soldiers. Even games like Company of Heroes 2, which hints at something vaguely fact-based, isn't above painting certain people in a very good light.

Ubisoft follows up with hard hitting Watch_Dogs trailer
A new trailer for Ubisoft's Watch_Dogs was released today, mere 24 hours since the last trailer got slammed by the internet for its poor quality.

Target Wii U Ad isn’t quite Right
Target have released an advertisement for the Wii U in which the console on show is anything but. If you haven't yet bought one, you'd be forgiven for not knowing what a Wii U console actually looks like. Nintendo spent most of their time advertising focussing on the pad and on the improved visuals over the Wii. If you're a major company trying to sell a bunch of these devices, however, it might make a little sense to actually check your advertisements before you send them out.

Next-Gen Tomb Raider “well into development”
The next Tomb Raider game (Tomb Raider 2 presumably, although it seems a little late in the day for that) is already "well into development" and will be available for next-generation consoles. Although nothing specific has been said, it's fair to presume it'll at least end up on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

3DS Flashcart Available Soon
The 3DS has been out for over two years now, and has yet to succumb to the wave of piracy that the R4 and similar devices brought to the DS. That, however, is about to change very shortly, as a new 3DS flashcart is about to be released that will allow users to play 3DS roms on their system.

New Watch Dogs trailer fails to impress
The recently released short trailer of the highly anticipated Watch Dogs was met with much critisism from gamers.
