PAX East: 2K Announces XCOM: Enemy Unknown for iOS
During their conference at PAX East, games publisher 2K Games announced that their turn-based strategy title XCOM: Enemy Unknown – one of the most critically-acclaimed games of 2012 – would be coming to iOS this summer. And they’re not talking about a watered-down version or ‘companion’ game (think Borderlands: Legends): XCOM: Enemy Unknown will essentially be the same game players enjoyed on consoles and PC last winter. How is this possible? Project lead Jake Solomon credits Epic’s Unreal Engine, which…

Ubisoft think Rayman will be a Wii U System Seller
Ubisoft recently revealed that Rayman Legends – a game that was touted as a release-window must-buy – was being delayed on Wii U so that it could go multi-plat. Fans of the franchise, and people who just wanted an awesome platformer on Wii U, didn’t take the news especially well, and who can blame them? Copies of the Wii U version of the game are probably sitting in warehouses, gathering dust. The feedback and anger haven’t deterred Ubisoft, however, who…

ESRB Rate Jak and Daxter Collection for Vita
The ESRB have rated a version of the Jak and Daxter HD Collection for PlayStation Vita. If you’ve ever wanted a healthy dose of platforming fun (followed by two less fun but great games) on the go, this might be your chance. Although not confirmed by Sony, an ESRB rating means a port is almost certainly in the works and is probably even in the latter stages of development. First spotted by Neogaf user ULTROS!, the Jak and Daxter HD…

Egg Shaped PS4? – Just what are Sony UK Teasing?
Sony have yet to show off their PS4 console, and it’s causing many to wonder just what the device will look like. That’s why a post on the UK Sony Facebook page is causing a bit of a splash with their followers. The picture shows a red egg-shaped device that looks as much like a chair from an old sci-fi program than it does a games console. This can’t possible be the PlayStation 4, can it? I have to admit,…

Strategy-Hungry Gamers Pledge $40,000 to Kickstarter in 24 Hours
The turn-based strategy genre used to be a big hitter on PC and even managed to leak onto consoles occasionally. That was a long time ago though, and if you want something similar today you’ll need to be content with going with something a little older or something that’s not exactly what you want. Maybe that’s why KING Art Games are making Battle Worlds: Kronos, and why 1000 gamers hungry for a return of their favourite genre have given almost…
