Thimbleweed Park Review

If you’ve ever played Manic Mansion or Monkey Island or King’s Quest or any number of Adventure games and loved them, then boy do I have a new Switch game for you! Let me take you to Thimbleweed Park. Come on now. Nobody here bites, not even that cursing clown… I love Thimbleweed Park’s story. It is so crazy, out there, and utterly delightful. If you like Adventure games at all, you will love the things that this game comes…

Rayman Legends Definitive Edition Review

I never played the full Rayman Legends game on the Wii U. I played the demo, but I just never got around to playing the full game. Then Ubisoft sent us a review code for this game and our editor-in-chief, Adam Roffel, decided I should do the review.

Pokken Tournament DX Review

Pokken Tournament was a much loved game on the Nintendo Wii U, but not one that many people bought into and spent much time with. Trying to bank on the success of the arcade cabinets in Japan, Nintendo made the decision to bring the game to consoles, with much success in Japan, and moderate success in North America. With a subsequent DX release on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo is looking to expand the player base even further, with many new features that will make this a must own for Nintendo Swtich fans, even those skeptical about the title on Wii U!

Jackbox Party Pack 1 & 2 on Nintendo Switch

Jackbox Party is a phenomenally entertaining game on console, and if you haven't had the pleasure of playing any of the packs yet, perhaps you will jump at yet another opportunity on yet another console: the Nintendo Switch. If you are unfamiliar with Jackbox Party, it is a collection of games that you can play with friends, using the console and TV as your 'hub' and your smartphones or tablets as your 'controller.' The games can be wacky at times, but overall, they dish out great helping of pure fun!

League of Evil Review

Mission Log. 8/31/2017. The League of Evil have sent their scientists out to cause trouble. I have been dispatched to elimiate them by any means neccessary. I prefer my fists. The League of Evil will not win. With my Nintendo Switch in hand, I’ll take them down and then go out for a beer. League of Evil’s story is pretty simple, but the addition of humor helps it a bit. Its a very dry humor, so its possible that some…

Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle Review

The thought of Nintendo handing over it's properties to another company seemed pretty unlikely to ever happen, and fans of the company have often been divided on whether or not Nintendo should lax their stringent rules on the use of their characters and licence them out. Although we were all unaware, Nintendo made that decision back in 2014 to allow Ubisoft the right to create a crossover title with their Rabbids characters, as long as the game wasn't platform based. Ubisoft took that opportunity and ran with it, and now we are literally hours away from ...

The Metroidvania genre is pretty popular these days. A lot of developers want to create a great game in the style of Metroid and Castlevania. Some developers succeed at this while others only create pale imitations. forma.8 for Nintendo Switch is a Metroidvania game for the eshop. Is it a good one or should you avoid it altogether? forma.8 begins with a mysterious cutscene that sets up the game. This scene doesn’t really explain anything about what is going on.…
