When Warner Bros. and Travelers Tales decide it's time to shake up the LEGO formula the results are generally positive. Shake-ups have resulted in the best LEGO game ever made, LEGO City Undercover, and now the most ambitious LEGO game ever made, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This latest entry in the LEGO franchise is easily one of the franchises' best, and there is no doubt in my mind that it will be a stepping stone for future titles.

Bugsnax was easily one of the best new titles available right around the launch of the PlayStation 5 - the beautifully crafted world, humrous writing, and fantastic gameplay made snatching up bugs and helping the locals such a good time. Over the weekend, I've been diving into LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on my Nintendo Switch. It's been quite a while since I've played a LEGO video game, for a variety of reasons. The older games don't grip me like they once did, and even when it's a franchise I love - Harry Potter, for example - there always seems to be a reason why I don't enjoy the experience. So how is LEGO Star Wars on the Nintendo Switch? My first impressions are below!

This article needs to begin with a pretty big caveat. If Hogwarts Legacy is not running natively on the Nintendo Switch - which means it can only be played via the cloud - and as long as it looks half decent - like Skyrim or the Witcher III - then I will most definitely be playing this game on Nintendo Switch. Graphics are important to me, and when I play games like Horizon Forbidden West on my PlayStation 5 and Forza Horizon 5 on my Xbox Series X, I'm blown away. But there is something portable about the Switch that makes it my ideal console for gaming.

Review for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga have begun to drop around the interwebs, and from most people's vantage point, the game is not likely to disappoint. With levels spanning all 9 mainline films, and over 300 characters to play as, there seems to be plenty to do in a galaxy far, far away!
