Chrono Cross is finally back! I played the game on the Playstation 1 and was a huge fan of it. Everything from the graphics to the music to the gameplay is wonderful. Chrono Cross is an absolute masterpiece.

The Radical Dreamers Edition came out today and I bought it. I’ve only played the game a little bit so far. Here are my thoughts:

Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition is actually made of two games. The first is, of course, Chrono Cross. This is basically the same game that was on the Playstation 1 with a few adjustments. The graphics have been enhanced some, with the characters getting the best glow up. They look even better than I thought they would!

The story and gameplay are the same as the original version. There is a fast forward and slow mo mode. I’ve heard there is a way to turn off enemy encounters but I haven’t tried that out yet. I love the combat in this game. Also, I’m playing this game on the Nintendo Switch! Its wonderful playing this game in portable mode.

As for the second game, thats Radical Dreamers. This game isn’t your normal video game experience. Instead, its a text based adventure. There are some drawn visuals but most of the action is via the text. You pick where you want to go and what you want to do by choosing written options. Its an interesting game, especially for someone who is a big Chrono Cross fan.

Overall, Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is a really good game. I can’t wait to play even more of it!

Did you pick up Chrono Cross today? What do you think of it?
