Indie developers with games near completion need to push their products to market for the first few months following the launch of the Nintendo Switch. Your average Switch owner will be very busy with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but how long will that last. Within a month, you will see the drop off begin and people will be looking for what's next. With what seems like minimal interest in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, there is an open window for some indie games to make a big impact.

Square Enix does a lot of rpgs for the 3DS, but its not often that we see them do rpgs for a Nintendo home console. Last night, Nintendo streamed the Switch Presentation. And then this morning, Nintendo started streaming Treehouse Live. As I write this, the Treehouse Live is still streaming! There is nothing more frustrating when it comes to video game releases than when things are region locked. Whether it is because you might be someone from Asia living in America or vice versa, or even someone who just enjoyed playing Asian or western games, region locking has always prevented that. According to Nintendo, region locking will be a thing of the past, so when that JRPG releases a year earlier in Asia than North America, you can now import that, if you wish.

Say what you want about Nintendo, when they rerelease something they always do a great job. This is once again the case for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which not only comes with all the DLC from the Wii U version, but also brings a bunch of new additions, and game mode changes. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be available in April 2017, and is one of our most anticipated Switch games for 2017!
