3D platformers are very popular right now, just look at Unbox Newbie’s Adventure, Yookai-Layee (on its way to Switch), and of course Super Mario Odyssey. Nintendo is a giant of the gaming world, consistently bringing out better software and hardware to keep its loyal customers coming back for more. It’s latest offering, the Switch is a combination of a console, and a hand-held device. It allows players to dock the device onto their TV’s, but also to undock, and use the Switch as a handheld console.

Today marks the day many Nintendo Switch fans have been waiting for. Those with Nintendo Switch units already have been playing the game since it launched at midnight eastern time - and for the record, Twitter is saying these people are loving it - while others will head to their local retailers this morning to pick up their very first Nintendo Switch. Super Mario Odyssey is one of those once-in-a-generation games that anyone with a Switch - or frankly without one - will want to be playing this holiday season.
