Deep Silver have today launched a Linux version of Metro: Last Light, now downloadable via Steam. If you have a Linux-based machine and Steam installed, check it out. More than that though, they've also announced that Last Light will be fully Steam Machine compatible, and will actually be pre-installed on the prototype rigs being sent out to testers.

Velocity Ultra is coming to Steam, FuturLab have today announced. The top-rated Vita title was previously exclusive to the Sony handheld and is now coming to both PlayStation 3 and PC.

The history of Final Fantasy XIV is a little rough. It had to basically be remade from scratch after it released to terrible reviews and financial ruin. It would have been the first truly bad Final Fantasy game ever released, if not for A Realm Reborn, which was significantly better than the original release.

Enslaved Odyssey to the West was a criminally underrated title based on the Chinese classic Journey to the West, made popular in the UK by television show Monkey (or Monkey Magic, if you're from the US). Unfortunately, sales seemed to be about as lousy as the reviews, and with the announcement of DmC: Devil May Cry, Enslaved got thrown out by the anti-Ninja Theory crowd. Released on PC for the first time last week, Enslaved has a second chance to thrive in a post-Last of Us world. Will people finally recognise it for the diamond in the rough it always was?

Blizzard has filed a trademark for Warlords of Draenor, according to a post on MMO Champion. If this turns out to be an actual game, it more than likely is another expansion for World of Warcraft (Draenor is the orc's homeland). Adding further proof to this rumor is the fact warlordsofdraenor.com was registered over a month ago. However, this new domain comes with a couple of problems. Due to backlash from gamers, Ubisoft has decided to drop their controversial Uplay service. The most recent outcry about Ubisoft's version of an online pass is over the Edward's Fleet game mode in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. In order to access the feature, gamers had to enter in the code that came with their new copy of the game, or pay a fee. However, because of the inability for some users to be able to play Edward's Fleet, Ubisoft is now offering it for free. Here's more from their official blog post:

After almost three years of fairly regular support, Paradox have today announced the end of an era: the final piece of Magicka DLC has been released.

The free-to-play Command & Conquer game that was under development has been canceled by Electronic Arts.
