Nindie Spotlight Video on March 20th

The Nindies are striking back! Nintendo announced an Indie spotlight video for March 20th. We have more details below. There will be a Nindie spotlight video on March 20th at 11am central time. It will be for indies games coming to the Nintendo Switch. We don’t know what will be shown during the video. There are some indies, like Wargroove, that still haven’t come out. They may be shown, but I think that we’ll get some surprising indie revelations too.…

Last Day of June Is Coming to the Nintendo Switch This Week

I’m always on the look out for a new Adventure game for the Nintendo Switch. I loved Thimbleweed Park and Old Man’s Journey and Oxenfree were great too. And this week another adventure game joins the Nintendo eshop. The game is called Last Day of June! We have a trailer and more information about the game below. Last Day of June is an adventure/puzzle/rpg from 505 Games (Portal Knights) and Ovosonico. The game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch…

Midnight Deluxe Review

The following game is not 36 Fragments of Midnight, even though it does look like that game. Instead, Midnight Deluxe is like a game of golf. You must hit an object into a hole. Sounds simple right? Well, this game gets harder as you go. Is Midnight Deluxe a good game or not? Read my review to find out! Midnight Deluxe has no story or setup. Instead, the player is thrown into a series of environments where they play an…

More Thoughts From Me #111: You Can Climb That Mountain…Maybe!

There are some games that are so hard that you just want to throw your controller or in the case of the Switch, your system, and give up games altogether. And then there are other games that are hard and yet you don’t want to give up on the game. These are hard, maybe a bit punishing at times, and very addictive. Celeste for the Nintendo Switch fits into that second catogory. Its a hard game. Its also a very…

Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition Review

Two robots walk into a bar…ok, no bar, but two robots do walk into a sticky situation. One robot is trapped under glass, with a crusher headed his way, and the other is on the otherside and has to get to a big red button to stop the crusher. After the robot under glass is free, the two robots must make it to the end of the level. The game I’m describing is called Twin Robots: Ultimate Edition and its…

Mulaka Review

I wrote about Mulaka previously. I like this game a lot. Do I recommend that you download this game right after reading this review? Read on to find out my final thoughts about Mulaka. Mulaka’s setting and characters are really interesting and different from what we’ve seen from other games on the Nintendo Switch eshop so far. But does all this make for a good story? I’d say the story is interesting, the characters are interesting, and the dialogue usually…

More Thoughts From Me #109: What Are the Nintendo 3DS Games of 2018?

Nintendo is currently very focused on the Nintendo Switch. They released a ton of games for the system and will be releasing even more this year. And yet, they still have the 3DS too and have said there will be games for it this year. They have already released a new Kirby game in January and will release Detective Pikachu in March. But will there be other games? What will those other games be? I love the Nintendo Switch. I…

Transported to the Wonderful World of Mulaka

When I first saw Mulaka for the Nintendo Switch, I was impressed by its graphics right away. This game, of course, is not the first game for Nintendo Switch to be 3D and Polygonal. Morphite was the first game that I played on the Switch with such graphics. However Mulaka is doing something different from Morphite or any other game I’ve seen with this type of art style. Mulaka is colorful and infused with a very unique and stunning premise.…

The Darkside Detective Review

I am a huge point and click Adventure game fan. When I got a review copy of the latest point and click game for the Nintendo Switch, The Darkside Detective, I was really excited. This game looked really good. So is it? The Darkside Detective, much like King’s Quest and Space Quest from the PC era, does not take itself seriously. There are so many jokes in this game. Some of the dialogue in this game is funny and some…
