Square Enix have today announced that they've released Final Fantasy VIII to PC. It's available to buy from Steam and other online retailers for £9.99, $11.99 and €12.99. While the release contains the usual PC stuff - achievements, cloud saves - this release is also noteworthy for another reason, a reason that may just get long-time fans to double dip: it contains the previously Japan-only Chocobo World mini-game.

“What’s New” Returns to PlayStation 4

For those of us that only had access to the PlayStation 4 from Friday last week, there was one very big feature missing. “What’s New” has been touted as a social feed to keep up with all your PlayStation gaming, and yet it had to be turned off to deal with the sheer amount of people logging into the PlayStation Network. Phantom Pain is a Long Time from Release

Some were surprised when the learnt that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain would be two separate games, but perhaps they'll be more surprised by the length of time that it's going to take between the two. Hideo Kojima took to Famitsu this week and said that Konami had come up with the idea of a prologue title after realizing just how far from finished The Phantom Pain was.

Call of Duty Introduces Robot Zombies in a Mode You’ll Never Play

Zombies mode, introduced in World at War and brought back for every Treyarch developed Call of Duty since, has become a staple of one of the biggest franchises in gaming, and one of the leading reasons some buy into the shooter every second year. Don't worry though. When you kill every zombie, cut through each piece of rotting flesh and are finally safe, there's another thing to worry about: Robot Zombies.
