You Can Play Xbox One Games as they Download

There seems to have been a lot of confusion on this one, but Microsoft have confirmed that you will be able to play from a partial download on the Xbox One. The PS4 can do it too - it was a feature they explained quite heavily. This is a rather important feature for those that plan to buy digital (and it's one that I hope Valve are working on for Steam), so it's nice to see that everybody is on an even field.

Sonic: Lost World has Colors-like Powers

SEGA, in a new trailer unveiled yesterday, have announced that Sonic: Lost World for the Wii U and 3DS will have shape-shifting power-ups, not entirely unlike Sonic Colors for the Wii. These new powers allow him to transform into a bird, into a musical note, and into the drill that first made its appearance in Colors. This will cause mixed reaction amongst fans, as some (those who didn't play it, mainly) weren't impressed by this particular feature.

Knights of the Old Republic Turns Ten

One of the most popular and influential RPGs ever has turned ten today. Knights of the Old Republic was one of the first games to successfully capture the Star Wars vibe, but it also made a genre accessible to a whole new group of people and made possible games like Mass Effect, Dragon Age and even the modern Fallout games.

Ride to Hell: Retribution Review

Ride to Hell: Retribution is a gritty tale of revenge, set in a world where every woman will have sex with you if you beat up their partner (unless they're prostitutes); where police officers and miners carry vast amounts of drugs on their person; where cowboy hats protect your brain from bullets and in which walls, floors and doors are mere suggestions. That the credits contained almost ten minutes of names is perhaps the biggest surprise to be found in ...

PS1 and PS2 Games Will Come to Gaikai

Sony have by and large been quiet on Gaikai. It exists and will stream games - only PS3 games have been expressly confirmed so far - but that's about it. Which games, how you'll access them, if you'll need to pay again if you already own said game and whether it'll be a service exclusively for PS3 games has yet to be answered. Until today. Sony have today confirmed that legacy PlayStation titles will hopefully be making their way to the Gaikai service on ...

Watch Dogs Has Always-Online Features, But Isn’t Always-Online

Watch Dogs is a game that you'll want to have connected at all times, Ubisoft has revealed. Multiplayer will be so subtle that you probably won't even know you're in a multiplayer situation until the player entering your game actually chooses to attack, and there's no limit on the time they might follow you around, looking for the perfect opportunity.

Worms 3 Announced

Team 17 have announced that they'll be releasing Worms 3 on iOS towards the end of this year. Worms 2 was released in 1997, so it's been a hell of a wait, but hopefully it'll end up having been worth it. Worms 3 will bring together a number of things from more recent spin-offs, including the class-based combat of the rather excellent Worms Revolution. There will be 29 single player missions included, as well as a few online multiplayer modes, with ...

Dark Review

The combat in Dark sucks. By extension, this means almost all of Dark sucks, as it's built, by and large, around this idea of combat. You see, it's a little known fact that vampires can only clumsily walk up to enemies, bash them over the head or suck their blood, making loud slurping noises like granny at Christmas and alert everybody within a five mile radius.
