Ever since E3 this year, I’ve had my eye on New Super Lucky’s Tale for Nintendo Switch! All of the previews I’ve seen for the game have looked great. I’ve been dying to check out the game. And today I got that chance via a demo from the Japanese eshop! Note: the demo is in English and gives you look at the game’s story. So if you have a Japanese account, don’t be afraid to download this demo.

The New Super Lucky’s Tale demo is very short. I wish the demo had let me play another level or a longer level. Putting that aside, I have a lot of good things so say about the demo

Right away, New Super Lucky’s Tale impresses with its wonderful graphics. This game absolutely looks like something Nintendo would develop. The colorful environment in the demo is breathtaking. I only played the demo in handheld mode so far, so I imagine TV mode looks even better. This is a beautiful game.

And as good as the graphics are, New Super Lucky’s Tale’s gameplay is even better. The controls work perfectly. Lucky jumps, runs, and collects coins like a pro. I really liked his burrowing ability too. There was some light puzzle solving in the demo, a secret area, and a few enemies. I had a lot of fun with New Super Lucky’s Tale. I want to play more of it now!

It looks like New Super Lucky’s Tale has found the perfect home with the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo fans live and breath 3D platformers. New Super Lucky’s Tale looks like a game that will do well on the Nintendo Switch.

Hopefully the demo for the game will release in other regions soon.

Are you looking forward to New Super Lucky’s Tale?
