The Wonderful graphics of Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition

Yesterday, I talked about Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition’s gameplay. Today, I want to tell you about the game’s graphics. The first thing I noticed about Rayman Legends, of course, was its graphics. This game looks amazing on both the TV and on the Switch’s screen!

Rayman Legends looked great on the Wii U but I think the game looks even better on the Nintendo Switch.

Without a doubt, Rayman Legends Definitive Edition absolutely pops on the TV in HD and on the Switch’s handheld screen. The graphics are colorful and lively. There’s just so much going on in this game.

In Rayman Legends, you’ll find yourself dealing with three fields of vision sometimes. Enemies can pop up from the background or foreground in levels. Some levels have Rayman going into a beautiful background and having that become the new foreground. If you think of games like the Donkey Kong Country Returns franchise from Wii, you’ll know what I mean.

Some 3DS games have done the background and foreground trick to add a sense of depth to games. Rayman Legends absolutely has a sense of depth to it even without it having 3D. Even when there’s no enemies in the background, you’ll sometimes see rabbits or other animals here and there in a level.

The wonderment of Rayman Legends graphics is not limited to just how it deals with three areas of gameplay. The enemies and allies that you’ll find in Rayman are really well designed. They are animated extremely well too. You’ll find enemies who do stuff while they’re waiting for Rayman to come along. These animations make this game feel alive and more like a cartoon than a video game.

I think players will absolutely feel like they are playing a cartoon. I know I do. And I’m just continually amazed by the variety of the different levels and worlds you go to. Each world, each level, and all the different enemies and things I’ve found have delighted me. I have to say that Rayman Legends is one of the best looking games on the Nintendo Switch at the moment.

I could go on forever about Rayman Legends Definitive Edition. I think its fantastic. I will write even more about this game on Monday.

Have you played Rayman Legends Definitive Edition on the Switch? What do you think of it?
