CD Keys for Games Most Anticipated Releases of 2021

With a raft of new consoles on the horizon, we’re going to see a bumper year for games ahead. Here are some of the most anticipated according to CD Keys for Games.

  1. Gotham Knights

Releasing On: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/s

Reports say that Batman is dead, and as a result, crime is on the rise in Gotham. Thankfully, some of Batman’s most trusted allies, like Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Red Hood, are ready to continue the Caped Crusader’s fight.

Although Gotham Knights looks like it will play similarly to the games in the Arkham series, it’s intended to be a standalone game. It includes RPG elements and can be played solo or with two players in co-op mode. This game is from WB Games Montreal, who was behind the mildly disappointing Batman: Arkham Origins. Still, it’s hard not to feel excited about Gotham Knights after watching the impressive trailer.

Release Date: TBA 2021

  1. Far Cry 6

Releasing On: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/s

If you’re a fan of actor Giancarlo Esposito, who played one of the most memorable characters in Breaking Bad, you’re sure to enjoy seeing him in Far Cry 6. He plays the role of an authoritarian leader on a fictional island in the Caribbean.

The game will put you in the shoes of a freedom fighter that’s striking back against his reign. Based on the history of the series, it’s safe to assume that this will be an open-world game with stunning scenery and lots of surprises. With that said, Ubisoft often focuses on hot topics in trailers while dodging those issues in the games they release. It’s hard to say if this game will have anything meaningful to say.

Release Date: TBA 2021

  1. Resident Evil Village

Releasing On: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S

It’s clear that the popular Capcom survival horror series isn’t going anywhere. Although Resident Evil 6 may have been disappointed, Resident Evil 7 won fans over with its fascinating story and first-person view. It even provided VR support, giving players a uniquely terrifying experience.

In Resident Evil Village, we’ll see those trends continue. Once again, the game will deliver horror in the first person. Capcom hasn’t confirmed if they’ll be offering VR in this game, but it’s certain to be a haunting experience no matter what. As the name implies, the game is set in a mysterious village, which seems like a setting ripe for horror.

Release Date: TBA 2021

  1. Back 4 Blood

Releasing On: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S

Even though the game is titled “Back 4 Blood,” this game will essential be Left 4 Dead 3. Valve has neglected the Left 4 Dead franchise for almost 10 years. Now, the original series developer, Turtle Rock Studios, is preparing to release a fresh new game.

If you had a great time fighting back against zombies in the old Left 4 Dead games, you’re sure to have a fantastic time with this title to. The four-player co-op will provide hours of frenetic fun. The game has already gone through closed alpha testing, and the early impressions of the game have been positive. This is one title to look forward to playing this summer.

Release Date: June 22, 2021

  1. Gran Turismo 7

Releasing On: PlayStation 5

Although there wasn’t a Gran Turismo title available when the PlayStation 5 launched, there is a title on the horizon. This game should be an excellent way to show off the capabilities of the PS5. You’ll be able to see incredibly detailed renderings of extremely fast cars.

Not only will this be a great-looking racing simulator, but Gran Turismo 7 will offer a campaign interface that looks like map. This is a game that should keep you busy for quite some time. In recent years, the Gran Turismo series has been criticized for not making the same kinds of innovations that competing racing games have. Hopefully, this new title will help to reinvigorate the series.

Release Date: Q1/Q2 2021

  1. Overwatch 2

Releasing On: TBA

While we were hopeful that Overwatch 2 would release in 2020, it’s easy to understand why Blizzard didn’t rush to release the sequel. The pandemic has had a big impact on the world of esports, and historically, Blizzard is more than willing to wait for games to be done before releasing them.

It looks like Overwatch 2 will improve on the incredibly successful hero shooter thanks to brand-new heroes, story missions, and all kinds of new content. The game could use this kind of boost. We’re hopefully it won’t be too long before it’s released.

Release Date: TBA

  1. Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Releasing On: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5

While we’ve seen plenty of impressive titles for the PlayStation 5, there were few titles that impressed us as much as Kena: Bridge of Spirits did. Although the game was originally intended to be a launch title, the release was pushed back into 2021. Of course, we don’t necessarily mind the delay. After seeing major games release before they’re ready, we’d prefer to see a small studio like this one take its time.

Still, we’re hopeful that the wait won’t be too long. This game appears to be influenced by the Legend of Zelda series, and it makes of think of Studio Ghibli films as well. It’s stunning and incredibly charming. It looks amazing, but will it play well too? We sure hope so.

Release Date: Q1 2021
